Well got it fixed again, it was a fuel issue the injector this time. I finely found some STP injector cleaner and I hope that will help in the future. As for loads I'm running 2.5 hp AC unit and a 1.5 hp. AC unit along with a 2 hp. well pump. Not all come on at the same time so it's doing ok, not tripped breaker yet...??? As for fuel it will run about 14 hr. on 2 gal...

Can be hit/miss with some of those, hopefully yours behaves..... let us know, as time rolls on.....

This OnanQD project is getting more involved than I had planned. I was going to put the battery, fuel tank, 120 to 120/240 transformer underneith and find out it ejects rather warm air out the bottom, normally onto the road. It also had a lifting ring inside a cover on top. I loose that feature on account of all the weight I am adding.

It all requires more thought and engineering than I had intended to devote to this. The major part, the transformer I got on a 600KM road trip and a hundred phone calls. I never even thought that (used) 120/240 to 120/240 7.5 -10 KW transformers were so scarce.

I just came accross this Military Version of what I have. I don't have the air cleaner sticking up out of mine. Now I wonder, where mine is?

Can't remember if it was in your pics - different air cleaner on yours, or it's missing altogether ?

Generally, as power levels go up, you want to move to higher voltage (IR loss, same reason utilities use high-voltage transmission lines.....).

Above light-vehicles, there are many 24volt DC vehicle systems, which need 28 volts nominal to charge. Two 12 volt batteries in series is a common configuration.

For Off-grid applications, 24volt and even 48 volt systems are common.

Well last gen test run was thanksgiving. Needed power in the field today. Only gen I own is the 7k gasser that we use for backup power. It fired right up and ran the power washer no problem. Ran for about 3 hrs total.

Nice to get its test run in and some work done at the same time.

Hopefully that means no power outages for me.
