Sorry, but i have knowledge about soft start units for that small of motor. You could contact hyper engineering and ask them. Their tech guys are real helpful
"electric blankets" ?????
You are in...."Florida" ?
Why not replace all that complexity with an MEP diesel gen (or Amazon.com : Westinghouse WGen95 DF Dual Fuel Portable Generator-95 Rated 125 Peak Watts Gas or Propane Powered-Electric Start-Transfer Switch & RV Ready, CARB Compliant : Garden & Outdoor ) and a $79 breaker lockout kit?The neighbors generator woke us up this morning @ 5:30 and I was on battery backup nice & warm under my electric blanket
Got dressed and went downstairs to check the SCP (system control panel) battery was at 24.2 volts with wood furnace fan running.
Shut the fan off so system would not shut down due to low battery voltage, went into garage and started the Honda EU2000i then switched the fan over to gen power.
Then proceeded out to power house to start the MEP-952b 28 volt military generator. Heated the air for a minute or so then cranked it over.
After cranking for several seconds it started. Let it run for a minute then connected it to batteries. Initial current draw was 180 amps at 28 volts.
Went in the house & hit the button on the coffee pot.
After the coffee is on things don't seem so urgent.
Power back on at 7am.
Guess this was a good prompt to resume working on setting up the AGS (automatic generator start) which is mounted but waiting on me to devise a wiring plan.
I was working it it last spring but stopped because I had to order relays and several spools different colored of wire to identify circuits.
If the AGS was operational the generator would be started automatically based on battery voltage and I wouldn't have to get out of bed.
Wife wants to know how to operate the system so I need to get my butt moving.

My inverter easily powers the entire house including the deep well pump however I would need to run one of my diesel DC gensets to maintain the backup batteries after a couple hours when my wood furnace is operating in the winter.
During the heating season my wood furnace is my primary heat source and power consumer. The fan motor is a new High Efficiency model and consumes 236 running watts and operates 24/7. My batteries do not have the capacity to run this and other essentals thru the night.
The fan motor runs constant when the furnace is supplied with a steady supply of wood however it cycles off and on when the furnace starts to cool. It is this scenaro that gives the Honda EU2000i absolute fits.
A soft start module would hopefully allow the Honda EU2000i to easiy start the fan motor while also powering minimal lighting (all LED's) and 2 bedrooms with electric blankets.
Transfering this load and several other small loads such as the living room tv and the bedrooms and electirc blankets to the Honda would minimize load on the inverter batteries allowing the inverter to support the house thru the night without the need to operate the diesel generator.

Power for the whole house and be done?
