This was parked at the coop in Orienta, OK. No one was around to explain what it was built to haul.

BTW, I'm very happy with the short trailer I have. It fits in the garage and my EGT is high enough with just one implement on the FEL. I'd have had to purchase a new more capable truck to haul any more.

I have seen those a few times, but have yet to see one actually hauling anything. I too am curious what kinds of things are that heavy that would fit on such a small deck.

The frame slides under the belly pans of a dozer then the trailer raises up and lifts the machine off of the ground. I think there called Jo dog trailers?

A guy on another Forum I used to go to has one and would post pic's from time to time. Power plant parts like transformers, turbines, generators, mining equipment, train parts etc. I saw one up close that had hauled a wind turbine power cell to a site.

If you search google images for heavy haul transformers, or mining, train etc. You can find lots of images of this type of trailer.

For me though, the cooler machinery is the stuff used to pick and place the items moved on this type of trailer.

That would be handy for moving the RTV ! Sure would hate to buy a set of tires for it though

Hi Dan,

What length is your trailer? I have a 3520 and am looking at various trailer lengths.

Thanks,

I was feeling bad about having to pay $600 for a set of four Michelins for my car, that trailer probably costs $600 PER TIRE...

Here was delivery of 1/2 of a train car to a local tourist RR a couple years ago.

I saw this in person back in 1980. The convoy was 2 miles long and had me blocked for 2 hours. I was looking for a picture and came across this video. Supposedly, the heaviest load ever hauled on a public road. The trailers had 24 axle lines with 16 wheels across on each axle line. Total weight with tractors and trailers was 3.5 million pounds. The moving cost was $15 million in 1980 dollars to move the 2 reactors. The plant was mothballed before completion and never operated.
