ZD1511 72" REAR DISCHARGE INFO & BLADE OVERLAP

The 72" rear discharge deck is open all the way across the back with Three Separate Rubber Deflector flaps partially hanging down to keep exhausted clippings off engine & transmission.

I really like the way it's designed, as I've been mowing with rear discharge since 2001.

My F has no triple flaps hanging down other than the one big rubber flap I made from a piece of big truck mud flap. My rear chute opening isn't the full width of deck and does not come straight back from sides of mowing deck. Almost sure, will have to look to be 100% positive. My home made rubber flap doesn't seem to make any difference.

I looked at F series rear discharge deck & they have metal dovetail pieces bolted on deck with rounded out places in front of rear tires

Yep, I looked at mine yesterday since it was sitting at the end of my porch. Mine looked like the deck was closed in front of the wheels or just tapered down toward the ground but mine is several years old. I knew it wasn't full width since I had made the rubber mud flap outside sort of baffle a few years ago and screwed it on the back top of the deck where it would hang down. I figured backing up may rip it off but I'm almost sure it's still on it.

I just told Gary at Barlows I needed blades for the F3080 and he laid three down on the counter and took my credit card. I signed and left. Don't have part numbers.

Does your blades have the shorter 1/2-3/4" air lift wings ?

I ordered some Hi-Lift blades for mine to try.

I don't know that either but I think Gary from Barlows said they should all be high lift.

The OEM stock ones that came on mower, are what I'd call low lift.

I ordered some Hi-Lift blades for mine to try.

The back upper tip is 1 1/2" higher than the blade cutting edge on the set I took off which is the same as the new set.
Also my deck does have the runner on the front edge.
