I just ran the cable through the hole and clamped it with vise grips . I now have the wire rope clamp in the shop. I will pull cable back and clamp as per a couple posts back.

Looks to me your cylinder in going in the opposite direction as mine will be.

I read my question today and seen SHOOT ... Its chute as you comment . . How is your steel cable attached to the riser chute? A wire rope clamp to the tab half way around the chute?

you are correct there is a shear bolt holding the cylinder and the D shape together. Can be seen in the pic with my finger pointing to the cylinder attach point.

Have a choice of 2,2.5, and 3 " bore . all the rest is the same. Thinking if a use the 20.25 pin to pin and rather then set shute up for the middle I attach the cylinder at shortest point and adjust the cylinder long to 28.25"and find a happy medium so the shute covers the area needed without...

All the mounting points are there. Seems I need a 21.5" short and 28.5 long". 3x8 bore ( found some info online) . But the ones I see not the right distance for open and closed. Guessing short is better then too long as how its built will bent the ram on the cylinder.

Can a suction leak be at a leaky valve My joystick for bucket has a leak I see the floor has fluid on it but that's been oozing for a year

Spent some time yesterday looking at the suction leak.. Not knowing much about tractors I thought the pump was under tractor where the filters are. Followed the hoses to the engine where I assume found the hydraulic pump. . Left side near bottom. No sign of any leaks on any of the hoses...

Update .... Finally got around to looking at the suction leak. Did find one filter not leaking but did tighten it about 3/4 turn. Next question is if It was the filter how long would it take for the oil to clear?

I know I have to look into the suction leak . Time is just not on my side right now. but I have been using the tractor much less then required and more arm muscle. Hopefully when I get to it its only a 5 minute job that I put off. ThaNKS FOR THE INFO.

Update: let tractor sit due to weather for a couple days . Oil in site glass was new oil colour. and after 15 minutes of use it was milky cloudy again. Still had no time to check filters

I did the same thing before in a ditch with low fuel. Just topped it up and off I went.

Dealer told me not to open the fuel lines at the injectors as that works on older tractor but is not required on these new tractors. Before I was told that I craCKED THEM OPEN BUT NO FUEL was sent to the injectors.

It must pump to the filter as I had the filter off and fuel didn't run all over the place. Didn't see a primer

So the dealer wasn't sure which way the valve should be to run . After removing the fuel line from filter it needs to be down to run. . Now I have a fuel leak at the clamp. Need to buy a new clamp tomorrow. Here is the write up from book.

Yes I do have pins to stop from swing movement. If I had another tab welded on the plow to narrow it , that would also help. Maybe the same thing for the winch.
