Strange how the price changes so much for you guys in the north east.

The funny part is that there really is no explanation for the increase in price just because you live in the northeast. Is the dollar worth less here in PA rather than WV. I doubt it, there would be an exchange rate like Canada.

I would argue that the reason tractors cost more in the northeast than most other areas is that it cost more to run the business their. The building costs more to purchase and to operate and wages the dealers pay for employee's are higher in the northeast than say somewhere like WV. All that extra operating expense gets past on to the buying market. That is why a large dealership that supports a larger area makes sense. They can spread the added dealership expense out on a larger amount of mahinery.

Well after lurking and reading alot I guess I will post my 2 cents. I have been looking at a Kubota 2350 with a price of 14420.91 and the Deere with the price of 14091.00 cash and like I read in this post earlier my Deere dealer told me 2% more for the part that finace. Then just before I posted I called a diff. Deere dealer and he told me 13091.00 all prices are with tax so I guess my mind is fianally made 1400 dollars will buy me a tiller :) So I guess I will talk to the wife tonight (eventho she fit on the bota better) I hope to be getting a Deere. If I do I will let you guys know and post pics. It almost sounds too cheep. Now that I am posting this I wonder if it was with the cx loader if not it should be 300 more which is still 1000 less so someone finally made up my mind. I will keep you informed on the price and if it was too good to be true.

Its still an issue with the BX24- just from reading the posts on this site. Sorry Deere dosent offer plastic in crictical areas such as a floor board or fenders. Denpending on the model the hood is 50% or more metal as well

Not so!!! Out of 100 plus tractors we had three! The problem was corrected last year with additional supports under the floor pan.

Deere has used plastic on floors and fenders as it is the most economical way of ridding of sound on tractors!

Briwhit, I paid $13,300 for my 2305 w/ FEL and 54" deck. That price matched the 2350, also. You're getting a fair deal there, enjoy the tractor!

It will be here tomorrow. It was a little diff but still a good deal I think. 2305 62in deck 200cx loader for 13000 before tax and 13780 total. Oh ya and 2 hats now I bleed green. I feel the Deere pedels work better and the reverse does not jurk like the Kubota. But the Kubota steering felt alitte better. The layout of the gauges I felt was better on the Deere too.

I searched this thread with no luck, can someone tell me how the two campare in this area? Does the 2305 or BX24 have any of these features? HST radiator, Hydraulics radiator, engine oil radiator? thanks.

Both of these tractors use plastic fans to cool the hydrostatic transmission. The hydro fluid that is in the transmission also runs all the hydraulic systems, and is cooled by that fan. The engine on neither has an oil radiator... hope that helps
