I'm sorry. I'm not fit for polite society. So, let me ask you; what does a trailer like that cost?

LMAO!!

My first quote was $8299.00 and that was supposedly with 10% off.
Another trailer place quoted me $7800.00
I bought it from the 2nd place for $7400.00
No taxes because I use it on the farm.

Lots of silly stuff going on with the dealer. email me if your interested and I'll tell you the tale but I don't want to put it online. Suffice to say that the dealer has been great to me as has the manufacturer.

I've already hauled and dumped two HUGE loads of busted up concrete. It scratched up my bed. :(

Oh no...it's USED...I'll offer you $3500 for your USED TRAILER...so you can go get another NEW ONE...:D

Well Crap, I guess I have to sell it then. Come get it Paul.

And as Paul pulls into your driveway, I'll be waving goodby to him as I'm pulling out with the trailer, cause the way my map reads is that I can get there faster than he can. Ha!!

Thanks for that info. I'm e-mailing back and forth with the factory right now. My closest dealer is in alberquerque!! (I'm near Lake Tahoe, California)

FWIW, I've bought other things like this from Texas. I bought a boat from El Paso. I met the dealer in front of the airport terminal and he drove me to the U-haul rental store. I rented a truck, hooked up my new boat and drove it home in under 20 hours. Air fare to El Paso from Sacramento was $49, the truck rental one-way was $400 and the fuel was $150 for a total of just under $600. I saved about $10,000 on the boat and got the motor I wanted but that isn't legal to sell in California due to smog laws. I feel sorry for local boat dealers with the California laws the way they are.

****EDIT****
Also, I couldn't really tell and the desription from the Maxie site doesn't even show a dump gooseneck; Does yours have the deck-on-neck?

Dealer e-mailed me a price back after I sent him your photos to show him what I wanted. He said it would be $7,745 from the factory, so I guess you got a good price for it!!

No deck but I wouldn't suppose that it would be too hard to put one if you wanted.
My spare is laying up there. Lying?? lieing?
Anyway...
The Maxie web site leaves a lot to be desired and when I traded trailers I mentioned that fact. There is a sharp fella there named Isaak that has only been there a few months but one of his goals is to update and improve their website.
Although there is no picture of a gooseneck, it is listed as available in their options.

Ps
I think the price you were quoted is pretty fair. Like I said, my dealer is really treating me good.
Note that the original quote was 7800. about the same as yours. I just negotiated a bit for the extra 400.

Funny,
I bought my boat in CA and drove to Anaheim to get it. :)

edit
wonder if I get a commission on this sale for the use of my pictures? :D

Allen, not to sould like a jerk but that trailer looks lightly built. It's all to easy to overload a dump trailer and I think with the construction of you trailer you may have issues. Just my 2 cents best of luck

Matt T.;)

If the tipping cylinder was situated somewhere between axles and 5th wheel, i would worry about the frame. But it sits on top of the axles, so tipping it doesnt put much extra strain on the frame. The dump body is self carrying, so all the frame does is holding it together, and transferring the weight to the 5th wheel hookup. The pointloads are taken by the dumpbody, which sure is beefy enough. I used to engineer trailers, but i'm not too worried about this creation..
