BX2750 snowblower

Ok - switched to up/down and it worked perfectly.
Switched back to right left and I am back to only going one direction... when pushing stick right I can see and feel the hoses sort of loading up...

So, there is no point pushing the stick to the right where the motor functions in that direction?

I will ask out in the hydraulics section and see if any thoughts
Thanks

I'm searching the threads, there has been discussion on this very problem in the past. I'll see what I can find. I guess the good news is that the motor works as it should, so you can save some money on that end. John

Hi John

Yes - I am very relieved that the motor itself appears to be the hot ticket! I love the way it seems to work and like you I was able to feather at the higher RPMs- I guess I can change the plumbing back to the lift cylinder and then try the right left again and see if I can lift using the right\left stick and that may help... I bought the same couplings as you did and have reamed out the 3\4 inch unit so it will fit. Ready to put on my welding hat and try to build the platform to hold the motor bracket. Thanks for all your efforts.

I found the thread that I was looking for that addresses your specific problem, but am not saavy enough to just link it, sorry. Search "Kubota snowblower chute rotates only one way??" and Kennyd explains what might be going on. John

I think you'll want to be able to use the down/float function with your snowblower, so modifying that funtion to turn the chute may not be do-able. Seems like there is a solution to whatever is going on and you will be able to use the stick in the way it is designed to be used. Let us know. John

Wow, A whole education in how that stick works. Thanks for finding that thread - it was very enlightening. Obviously a quite well know issue. I guess I will try and work through it.

Thanks again for your help John,

I will update when I know more

Attached are some pics of the snowblower skid "upgrade" I made. I have various different surfaces I have to remove snow from, so various skid heights are needed. Obviously getting out of the tractor with tools in the snow is not an ideal solution. So I welded up these adjustable skids and welded them to the OEM skids. Uprights are slip-fit (nestable tubing), actual skids are stainless steel TIG brazed to the mild steel legs. I changed the mounting bolts from the wimpy OEM 5/16" to some SS 3/8" carriage bolts. Minor Dremel work was required on the OEM skids and the body of the blower to fit the larger bolts. I also had to cut off the upturned "lip" of the OEM skid so the new setup would slid up far enough and allow the scraper bar to touch down.

A note to those using their 2750 in a salty environment....might want to keep a coating of oil on the inside of the hollow, triangular lower section. There was a very disappointing amount of large rust scale inside, and I found one area where it was rusting through to the auger area. There are some drain holes in the bottom of this section, but perhaps a few more holes drilled through from the outside would allow the misting of oil into this area on a regular basis. Less than ideal design to leave a hollow area where water/salt can find entry.

Very nice modification! Are you seeing the rust from the holes that the carriage bolts fit into to hold the feet? I've never taken the skids off to look in there after I adjusted them when the blower was new. How old is your 2750? Dyer, retired
