Does the owners manual tell how to select or determine if horsepower mgmnt is on or off. It has the keyless electronic pad. My manual is at the shop and I keep forgetting to bring it home to look it up. And yes, I have read it completely, but it is not memorized.
I had it reflashed at the dealer a month ago, and it really changed the behavior of the hydrostat drive. But the other day we had the mega fuse unbolted for a while to install a 14 pin control, and now it seems jerky and unpredictable.

The User Manual (pg SA-6 for the "D"), states:
The key switch must be OFF and the engine stopped to enter setup mode.

Press and hold the SPEED/HOURS/RPM button until the display screen lights up.

Press the S/H/R button repeatedly until "HP" shows on the display. If "HP 0" is shown, the HP Manglement function is OFF. Press the WORK button to toggle 'tween ON/OFF. (Where is the "LOAF" button?)

When you get HPM turned off/on, press and hold S/H/R button until "donE" appears on the screen. This will save your settings.

How did the reflash affect the hp management? Haven't had mine done. Better or worse?

Was the machine better behaving with the HP mgmt. ON or OFF?

I've tried several times and never get to a screen that says HP anything. Al I get is a SPEED screen and then its done.

I thought of this yesterday... If your TC is being "jerky", make sure you watch the RPM indicator. Is it being erratic while the engine sounds fine? If so, then your speed sensor may be out to lunch. This happened on my TC and it was so bad the TC became unusable. I read in the SM that RPM is an input to the PM system so in a last-gasp effort to fix my machine at a critical time I turned PM off. It worked. Later, I got the speed sensor replaced and all was well.

Finally had time to mess with it a little today. After pressing S-H-R button you have to release it then press it until rpm is displayed. Then enter code, then you can push s-h-r button until it says hp mgmnt.
It was on, so I tried it off and killed it a couple times pushing back some snow piles, so that isnt the answer. One of the things it is doing wierd with hp management on, is once it stalls pushing up a pile and I lift the blade, it will start moving again and drive into the snow bank (or ditch or anything else in the way).
