Nice toolbox but I bet you a nickle the first time you try to back up and need to look over your left shoulder you regret putting it there. Just sayin' :)

I am glad someone spoke up- I didn't think it was the best place, but its up to him though.;)

MT - just one question - when pulling the locomotive - once it's rolling - how do you stop it?...:D

Welcome! Nice ride - After two years I'm still as excited as you are - just can't articulate it as well as you do.....

OK, OK, I wil go back and reconfigurate the toolbox. You have to understand I just could not bring myself to attach a plastic tool box to my baby Kubota. Man are you guys are tough crowd :)

radioman & Ridgewalker,
Of course it is all good. I have said it before that you all are men of great wisdom so please speak up sooner the next time I make a fool of myself. I have thick skin and can take the constructive criticism. I just got so mad every time I had to get off my tractor and retrieve a tool in order to remove an attachment or cut away some downed fence line. I will take a look at attaching something to the back seat.

TBDonnly,
I knew it was a matter of time before someone brought up the show me state motto and that is a good thing ! If you thought the locomotive pics were good wait till you see what I have in store when my chrome exhaust pipe and canopy get's installed. I have already come up with a caption, no prey is to big for this orange little beast ! You are gonna love it or hate it believe me.

NuBota,
You have got to change your call sign as it is two years older then mine. You are one of the veterans now. I put you up there with the great ones like Jimbrown, Schism, TBDonnelley, Flusher, Oleozz, George2615 and Ductape to name a few ! I am the new kid on the block that everyone is crackin on and I love it. I loved the BX 24 just did not have the extra cash to take one home. Stopping the locomotive was easy. I slowed down just enough to put some slack in the chain. I then reached over, disconnected the chain from my end and got the **** out of the way :)

LBrown59,
*I can't believe how simular our tractors look.
Other than the headlights and hood, they really haven't changed much. Very impressive.

I used all 3 tractors last November to set up the little storage building you se in front of the truck.

Gentlemen,
I finally picked her up yesterday from the dealership and stayed up until 0200 this morning tinkering with it. These tractors run like the wind and turn on a dime. The seat is extremely comfortable and the floor space is awesome. The 48" loader is a beast and the 54" Woods back deck mower is everything I expected it to be. I opted not to go with the Kubota canopy as it just didn't look right. I'm having a custom made aluminum one made along with a chrome exhaust pipe coming straight up from the manafold. I absolutley love this BX 1860 tractor and I'm glad I went with Kubota. Enjoy the photos gents !

Be sure and show us a picture when you get the exhaust done, here's what a BX2200 looks like with the vertical exhaust. The photo was just for laughs, but the manifold for the B7500 will fit the BX2200 since they are the same engine and the exhaust points straight up, the only catch, I'd have to have a lift off muffler so I could open the hood. The second picture is how I made the vertical exhaust so I didn't have to cut the hood.

LBrown59,
Wow ! You have an entire fleet of compact tractors. That is so cool. With every kind of attachment known to man to boot. I've got to go back and rethink the whole attachment issue. Can you imagine the number of projects one could do with all these ?

milkman,
Now that's what I'm talking about ! Awesome lookng exhaust pipes you have there. I won't have to cut out any part of the hood on my baby Kubota as you had to for your tractor. The BX 1860's muffler comes out of the left front corner of the black mesh grill. The chrome shop mafia guys simply measured out and up from the end of the muffler. The chrome pipe will be 2 1/2" wide and 32" tall and they made sure the loader would clear it. Are my eyes tricking me or are those really duel tires on both the front and rear axles ?
And yes, I'll post some photos hopefully by next Friday. Sorry for not mentioning you as one of the veterans in myprevious post.

Missouri, I have posted my toolbox on this forum before so this is a repeat pic. I used a pvc pipe and used a single bolt in hole already in fel arm. Another TBN'er was able to make it better then mine by using black ABS pipe that is supposely cheaper but it looks much nicer. perhaps you could make one out of metal pipe and do the same ? Perhaps paint it orange or gray ?

radioman,
And roger that. The location of your toolbox on your tractor seems much better than mine. I like your idea of a steel mounted toolbox somewhere on that part of the tractor. Sorry I didn't see the message threads about toolbox emplacement. I am strating to like Ridgewalker's idea of installing a toolbox directly behind the seat. Out of the way yet easy to grab at something. Chrome plated steel ??? Now you have me thinking...
