Still looking...
I've searched on threads and couldn't find anything on this... strange, I must have done something wrong....

Can anyone give any input on their experiences between FEL work on the B versus a BX?

I realize there are different models and different loaders for each model within the series, but overall... will I notice a difference between the two? I would think so....

Bucket work - digging/scraping, lifting, moving, stump removal, pushing smaller trees over, etc... clay/rock and some larger rock

The B will have a bit bigger bucket and a bit stronger lift capacity. I've had and have both. The BX will do most of what the B will do other than ground clearance and the BX can not change that. The B will do FEL jobs a bit quicker than the BX but the BX is a work horse and can do most of what the B can do but take longer time. The B will also have a bit better traction with all things the same due to a bit more weight and a bit more tire contact with the ground..

I agree with John, the B is better suited to your task list. If you were mowing too then the BX might have an edge.

Well, I'll be using it for bush-hogging, possible mowing with a MMM later on if I decide to get one, tiller later on and post hole digging... so I'll be using it for more than just FEL work, but was wanting opinions on how the FEL works comparitively. The other stuff can be used by both....

The BX is more nimble will fit in places a B can't .
Don't forget LB to tell how many B's you own or have owned and how many BX's in case you are a tad prejudice toward BX's.

I've had two B7500/7510's and now one BX2660. I notice no difference in loaders, and the bucket is only bigger on the B if you aren't at the low end of the B's. The buckets on my B7510 and BX2660 are both 48", although capacity may be a knats patoot larger on the B. Now, new model B's may be way different. My BX has a higher carry and reach height than my B. Mind you, I am comparing my new BX2660 with the past generation B7510. Again, the difference is minimal. I'd expect a larger difference on the B2930's or the upper end of the 2009-2010 B models.

Bush hogging says B to me, however my BX2660 has more horsepower than my B's did. Again, you need to look at which end of the B spectrum you are comparing to the BX.

What's interesting is the B2320 and the BX2660 is about the same price with the FEL

That is intresting, but the person looking at the BX2660 is most likely looking at the extra PTO power or maybe looking to out-do the neighbor... otherwise the BX2360 would do the job and it is more comparable in horsepower to the B2320.

PTO to PTO comparables BX2660-B2620 That is where I was looking. Would of loved to have the bigger B but the BX fit my current application better, being smaller and able to sneak between the trees better. Either way I got the additional PTO power while still one-upping the neighbor. Seems to make the cold ones taste better.

If you are hogging and post holeing the B is a better choice.

Unlike some folks on here I happen to have one of each and an L model so I do have personal experience on the machines in question.

Every person has different uses for the tractor which has to be evaluated to get the best machine for your needs.

I use the BX mostly for mowing and a little snowblowing

The B does all hogging around the tree grove and a fair amount of yard work do to the small size.

The L model will handle small amounts of field work, heavy loader work, run the main snowblower and running the big hog for field mowing.

I could do all the above with the B if I had to, but not all of it with the BX
