I will be testing the HST today, as well as other systems.
This tractor still needs an hour meter, a fuel sending unit, a battery
hold-down, and I am replacing almost all the FEL hoses. I plan to make
a 3rd SCV valve handle and a backhoe subframe as well. My 3rd SCV
setup will use its own mounting bracket for the 2 QA couplers. Pix of
the tractor with new body panels are coming soon.
It is a bit surprising to find out that the hour meter is designed to only
come on when the tractor is running. It is tied into the tachometer, which
runs off of pulses from the alternator. I would think that you would want
to be able to read the LCD hour guage even if the tractor is not running
and racking up hours. Kind of like reading the LCD odometer on your
car when it is not running.
