Shopping for a new toy.

Is the added power worth the added price and fuel.

Tractor will be used with tiller, FEL, and blade.

No serious work at this time, just piddling.

I use my B2320 for tilling, driveway maint., light loader work and piddling. I've yet to want more power. Just my 2 cents.

That pretty much settles it for me; "toy" not "tool", so what you "need" and "want" may very well be different, so I would go with the most power.

Also, when I bought my last tractor, I was absolutely convinced a 35-40 horse was all I needed, but my wife fell in love with the L5030 and I am so glad she did as the extra power has helped in so many ways and made it a better "tool" and "toy".

I agree with this. The B2320 has more than enough power for this size tractor. Save your $$ and some fuel as well.

Since they are essentially the same machine, and running out of power isn't an issue very often on these diesels, sometimes a shopper, if he has the flexibility, can find a dealer who will sell one of them at far below MSRP, making it the right choice.

There have been a number of reports from guys who went in to buy a certain Bxx20, but came home with one of the other, just because the dealer seemingly wanted to push it off his lot. Apparently, this does happen.

I made the choice a few months back and wound up with the 2920. It wasn't the extra power as much as the slightly larger size over the 2320 (the 2620 is the saem size as the 2920, I believe), along with a slight increase in BH capacity. To be honest, this thing has so much power that I'm absolutely the 23 or 26 would be way more than adequate. Like someone else said, save the money and some fuel.

The larger two take a bit larger loader but other then that they are virtually identical.

The best reason for more horsepower would be for PTO equipment.

I went with the B2320 mainly because of the slightly smaller size and it has had more than enough power for my uses. I started out looking at used riding mowers and ended up where I did though so that was kind of a big jump.

Since opinions are free........ I'll throw mine in.

Buy the 2620. It has the larger rubber and larger capacity loader of the 2920, but not the higher price of the 2920. IMO, its the perfect balance of the three tractors. The only time you'd miss the extra ponies of the 2920 would be running a snowblower or wood chipper. All three are great tractors though..... have fun shopping !

I would agree with Ductape on the 2620 for the slightly larger tires and loader. I use a 5' rotary mower on mine. That is the only thing that I use that might be benefitted by the 29hp. Yesterday I had it at my daughter's house cleaning up some areas that the builder should have done. Using the box blade and FEL, a lot of the work could be done at hardly more than idle. I think the fuel savings is not worth a lot of consideration. These small diesels use so little, it is amazing.
