2320, 2620, or 2920

I think all tires are the same size except for one style (ags? on the 2320) and I agree the 2620 is the sweet spot. Resale may be worse on the 2320 especially with the smaller loader. Having said that I replaced a BX24 and I did not want to look back after I got a chipper so I went with the 2920 for an extra $750 or so.

I have seen many times the tire size difference mentioned. I agree with donn12. The R4 are listed as the same size on all three. The pumps are also listed as the same gpm. The physical, cubic size of the loader is apparently smaller on the 2320, but that might make sense to a guy looking for a niche tractor. Juuuuuuuuust bigger than a BX, but trying to keep from becoming too big in terms of maneuverability, etc. I believe, but don't know for sure, that the frame on the 23 is 3" shorter? Also, the 23 is offered in a gear version, all of which lends itself to its niche market position? Just wondering.

I went with the B2620 mostly for the extra loader capacity.
FYI I had a little trouble finding the tiller I wanted. Seems most manufactures (at least Woods and Kuhn) have stopped making heavy duty tillers 50 or 52 inches.

For example. You can no longer get a Woods GT52 tiller. There general purpose tiller. They make what they call an estate series which is a lighter unit and has a aluminum gear box housing. You have to buy a 60" tiller to get the heavier duty unit.

I ended up getting a new leftover Kuhn EL32-130 50"

A lot of people like King Kutter. I don't think they've changed.

Go with the 2920. Same size tractor just more power. My motto is if there are different HP models of the same tractor get the most HP for that size.
Experience has taught me that:thumbsup:

Might ask your dealer if he will put the LA364 on the B2320. The only reason the literature doesn't show that combination is an issue of marketing. They want to upsell to the 26/2920 to get the higher capacity loader. The hydraulic pumps, frames, etc are all the same, and my dealer said he would happily put an LA364 on a B2320. I have never found my B2320 to have any lack of power for loader and mowing chores.

I agree with tutorbell. On the older B7510/B7610 tractors too all the loader arms/parts were the same, but some were outfitted with larger hydraulic cylinders. Hence the different lift capacity. If your dealer is willing to put the stronger loader on there then got with the B2320. Otherwise if you want to make a step up get the 2620. I doubt that you will be disappointed either way.

I bought a 2620. I think the tractor is a bit larger than the 2320, and that extra FEL capacity was appealing. My dealer quoted $1,000 more for the 3920. After using my tractor for a year, I can't imagine needing any more horsepower. The limiting factor on my tractor is weight, my 54" rotary cutter is heavy, even with the FEL on. The 2920 is the exact same tractor, so it would handle the same. Some members have mentioned running a chipper or generator, for those uses I'll grant the extra horsepower may be worth it.

If I thought I needed more tractor, I would stepped into the 3200. My dealer was $2200 higher for that tractor. By taking that step, you get a tractor that has a heavier FEL, and can legitimately handle a 6' RFM or a 5" rotary cutter.

Thank all of you for your replies.

I will probably, but not certainly, go with the 2320 and use the money saved on attachments. I have yet to talk to a 2320 owner who wishes for more power. They may want a larger tractor, but not more power on theirs.

Thanks again.

I came very close....... deposit, etc. to buying a B2320, but the dealer I was working with tried something I wasn't happy with at the last minute so I ended up with the B2620 from another dealer a few days later. I'm happy that I have the slightly stronger loader with the very slightly larger bucket, but I doubt I have done anything I couldn't have done with the B2320. They are exactly the same tractor, and have the same tire sizes except for the AG tires as someone else mentioned. Probably for the difference in price you could add the Kubota QA for the loader, and maybe forks, or a larger bucket for bark mulch, etc., or some other implemment as you suggested. I have a chipper, and I'm sure that either would run it. Get the tractor you can afford.

Now, if Kubota had decided to give the B2620 the larger loader, and the B2920 the larger loader, position control, and a nicer 3pt hitch........... I would probably have fewer implements today....... :D :D

I have only had my B2320 since last August, and I bought it because I got a great deal on a just over one year old unit. I have no lack of power concerns. I have had lack of traction, but that is more a matter of light weight. Overall I am very happy with the machine.
