I seem to recall a 5 shot, .410/.45 pistol being advertised in the American Rifleman the past year or so.
Chamber .45 or even .410 00 buckshot makes a good anti-personnel round.
Anything from 4 to 7 shot works good for small varmits/vermin.
Lone farmers make enticing targets. Their vehicles are slow, and valuable. But the really bad situations are when you have illicit drug growing and manufacturing being done on the backsides of your property. Sure, calling the cops is the best thing, but that's not going to help you when you have several bad guys with guns coming after you right now.
Legalizing pot would make things a LOT safer for farmers, hunters, and other outdoor enthusiasts.
