I seem to recall a 5 shot, .410/.45 pistol being advertised in the American Rifleman the past year or so.

Chamber .45 or even .410 00 buckshot makes a good anti-personnel round.

Anything from 4 to 7 shot works good for small varmits/vermin.

Lone farmers make enticing targets. Their vehicles are slow, and valuable. But the really bad situations are when you have illicit drug growing and manufacturing being done on the backsides of your property. Sure, calling the cops is the best thing, but that's not going to help you when you have several bad guys with guns coming after you right now.

Legalizing pot would make things a LOT safer for farmers, hunters, and other outdoor enthusiasts.

it's understandable.. the disparities seenby people that live in communist run states states where it's citizens lack some basic rights that citizens of free democratic states enjoy.. it must be tough. I'd personally pack up and move out of some of those places back into the USA..

Since I'm on my own property I can carry what I want here in Texas. However I have a Bond arms Snake Slayer to carry on the tractor.

We can carry whatever we want openly here in Alaska. But being 90 miles from the nearest road and having no snakes or nothing much that can harm you but a few bears who don't much like being around people I never really felt the need unless I was hunting and don't do that from my tractor. If I lived someplace different I would use my m6 scout. It is .22 hornet over a .410 folds totally in half so it can fit almost anywhere and is made in stainless. I carry it all the time snowmachining for rabbits and ptarmigan and don't even know it is on my back or windshield bag. I have killed several deer with it and it is fine for head and neck shots.
