Did GM actually build a 2010 YM with a diesel?... I thought I read somewhere that GM skipped the 2010 YM due to re-designing the Izuzu engine for the new emissions requirements???

Yes, GM did make a 2010 model year Dmax.

wow.. no wonder when i went looking for a diesel 1ton type truck I only found a single dodge 3500 in the months I looked, with the rest being gm flavors and alot of fords.

had no idea the numbers played out like that.

I was merely stating that indeed F150 could be purchased with a factory brake controller since the post I referenced seemed to indicate that sway control was available but not a brake controller.

I've seen some of your "informed" friends, kind of looked like this.

Now that we have that taken care of I am surprised you did not jump on the Nissan sold the least band wagon, you are slacking. Must have been busy playing with our other featured member.:ashamed:

Last I checked, we were talking about TRUCKS and not suv's with open trunks. Nissan couldn't build a heavy duty diesel truck if they had too. They even tried to get Dodge to build their half ton Titan. :laughing:

As for the Nissan and Dodge merger I am glad it did not happen... That is why I ran out and traded my 1.5 year old 2007 F-150 when I did. There was nothing wrong with it at all but I had always wanted a Titan but there was no way I was going to have anything to do with one built by Dodge. Went down that road in 2003 and what a nightmare. Especially one with a CARS coil spring rear suspension, that's worse than GM putting torsion bars under the front end of a HD truck.

Now, lets keep this on track. Like I stated 15 post back, I did not want this to turn into a pi $$ ing match and get the thread closed or pruned like keeps happening.

Spring systems are designed are they not. So what is wrong with torsion or coil spring? Many Over the Road trucks may even be sitting on air springs and they surely do haul loads!

I do believe many modern Military Tanks run with torsion bars do they not.

Again, I just posted the numbers. We all think brand X is the best. Think about it. You or I would not buy what we thought was second best. Kind of like marring the second best girl.

I don't know that I agree with this totally. I just bought a 2010 F250 Power Stroke brand new. I don't think that it's the best truck on the market. I would have rather had a 2011 GM Crew Cab Diesel or a 2011 Ford Diesel IF money was no object. By the same logic, my wife drives a Honda CR-V. It's a great SUV and in my opinion one of the best crossovers out there, but I don't know that I'd say it was the best. In both of these cases we bought vehicles that we felt were quality vehicles, capable of doing what we needed them to do at the best value. Sometimes value isn't even the same across a particular brand as one dealer may be more willing to deal than another but only carries a particular brand. Make no mistake, I'm enormously happy with all the vehicles that I have purchased within the last 5 years, my new Ford included. However, it doesn't bother me if my truck isn't the best overall, or in any particular category as long as it is adequate for me. I think people get too wrapped up in getting the best something, and the manufacturers love it because people over spend because of their quest for the best. I think as long as someone is happy with their vehicle and it does what they need it to do, then that is what really matters.

Does it have the new diesel motor from Ford or is it still Navastar/International?
