Massey GC & Kubota BX Front Quick Hitch Compatable?

Regarding the blower-- I have an exploded parts diagram for the Kubota BX series snowblower, which I believe is identical to the GC series blower. It matches so closely that I printed it up and added it to my MF manual collection. I did get a set of shear bolts for same from the local Kubtoa dealer; they're identical, even to the silver & gold colors for auger & fan.

Figured it wouldn't hurt to have an alternate source for parts!

I would at this point say that the Kubota, New Holland and Massey 50" snowblowers are interchangeable if you have the correct quick-attach mount for your specific tractor.

RAD makes the blowers. Does anyone know who makes these mounts?

I know this is an old thread but I just realized I never reported back as I said I would.

I have been using my old Kubota front attach blower from my BX1800 on my new massey GC2410 front quick hitch all season with no issues. They are 100% interchangeable.
All I had to do was fab up a mount for the chute rotation handle.

Which brings up the question, was the quick hitch a Massey or did you use the Kubota?

Buzz, thank you for reporting back. I have been discussing this exact scenario with my neighbor who recently bought a new GC. He has mentioned he wants a front blower for it, but isn't in a hurry to spend the money for new. I let him know that they were all made by RAD, and thought they would interchange, but was never 100% sure. There was always that nagging thought of the blowers being geared completely different, or the rotation reversed or whatever. I frequently see the Kubota branded blowers for sale used, but have never seen a MF branded blower used. I'm glad I can assure him they interchange.

The Quick hitch was the new massey unit. It attaches to the tractor differnetly than my Kubota hitch and the hydrolic hoses are longer but my kubota was very old. Even the newer kubota hitches attach diferently than mine did and may be similar to the new massey but ive never seen one up close.

The PTO shaft from the blower to the hitch is the same and so is the intermediate shaft from belly PTO to the hitch is the same length.

Yep. Looks just like the 2300-series quick-hitch. It "hangs" on the front frame cross-member.

Thanks. If my neighbor has any doubts that they interchange, I'll be able to direct him to this thread. I guess we can all bet the RAD blowers off the New Hollands will interchange easily as well.
