Your list of stuff is longer than the owner's manual that came with my first car.....

Know what, my Deere has about 850 hours on it now, and you know what I carry around all the time in the way of tools?

In the fender mounted factory toolbox: Pair of gloves, pair of sunglasses, garage door opener, pair of 8X25 binoculars.

In the chain carrier I made for the rear drawbar (shown on the floor) a 20 foot chain, two or three straps or bungee cords, 20 feet of electrical wire, and aside from the clevis attached to the drawbar, that is all.

A ROLL OF DANGER TAPE, you say? But no GPS for really dangerous situations?

CTF, I forgot to ask... are the tool boxes bolted to the "flatbed" (for lack of a better name)?

JDgreen, nice, clean and shiny. Where are you putting on all these hours that it looks that good?:D

i still have not mounted a box on trailer yet. to toss ropes / chains / straps and like into it. but will hopefully soon enough.

as far as allis chalmers CA. it depends. majorty of the time it is mowing. so a hammer, channel locks, utilty knife, small strong flat head screw driver, rag, and a couple feet of wire (what ever i have laying around). 9 times out 10. above will work. if something breaks or i loose a bolt / pin. then most likely something else happen. and going to need to be back at shop to get the blocks out to lift deck up and check everything out and fix things.

if on allis chalmers CA, and have plow or disc or drag harrow on. hammer, pins, channel locks, medium size crow bar.

and it just keeps changing per project. i honestly do not prefer multi tool boxes with duplicates of different things on different things. to many more things to keep track of.

KISS keep it simply stupid, when it comes time when i need enough stuff with me while on a tractor, that is when i start grabbing 5 gallon buckets and filling with tools form shop and to hang on tractor. tractor is more of a multi purpose unit. and after thinking of trying to get all multipurose with tools. it was just to much. so if an implement is having problems / break. i take just enough to wire things back up or like that could allow me to limb back to the shed.

granted if i am out plowing drive ways, i will take a shovel, and a couple 5 gallon buckets of sand with me. and perhaps a couple 2x6 boards. and in that will take a little more of what more likely to happen. and keep me going.

CTF, I am amazed. No really, amazed. I think that I will have a shed toolbox with all you have listed (in an orange toolbox of course). I have to ask what do you do that you need to have all those items handy? Kudos on beings so neat and organized!

Thank you. What do I do...Well, I do pretty much anything. I usually have the carryall on most of the time for hauling and doing general yard tasks (I use the tractor like a UTV). When I'm mowing I don't have the carryall on (no tools), and when I have the BH on I just carry the traffic vest, small chain, tow strap, and gloves.

Binoculars??? I don't need a GPS when you have 2.44 acres...

Thank you, unfortunately there is not room to store that all "on the tractor".
