Purchased a 4510 four years ago and only thing I had to modify was the loader "overload" springs in the valve system, it will lift darn near anything now and has given me no problems. I use the machine heavy, especially the loader attachment.

Been about 6 weeks with the 4035. Sometimes I think I should have went with the 5035, but this tractor will get things done.

90 plus degree days last week. Tractor got hot about 5 hours in to mowing tall grass pastures. Had to shut it down and let it cool off for a bit. Got it back to the barn, and let it sit for a couple of hours, then went out and cleared out the air screens around the engine.

Could not get the hood to come open to do a better job of cleaning out air filter and radiator fins - the knob it says to pull will not budge. It will unscrew, but it will not move. Any thoughts on what I'm doing wrong?

Anyway, after I washed out the outside air screens I ran the tractor for another hour or so and all seemed fine.

I have no doubt that chaff and seeds were keeping it from cooling properly during mowing. But inablity to get the hood open is troublesome.

One of these days I'll get the backhoe hooked up and do some digging.

Believe it or not [insert drum roll here], on mine [insert disclaimer here], there is about a 1" rubber plug located underneath, about 3" back from the front of the tractor.....right below the actuator for the hood latch. Probably put there incase someone has some crud in his latch...and needs to yank on his cable whilst a friend pushes up/down on the front of his hood....and maybe could break the cable if he yanks too hard.... Then he would have to pry the lever he can see [after he removes the rubber plug] hard towards the driver side [ heah...can I use driver or passenger side on a tractor discription..??] to try to open the hood. Keep the cussing down to a minimum...and forget who told you all this in case you destroy something... :)

It might be cheaper now than buying aftermarket on another remote.;)

I modified my grill guard as soon as I could. It came with just two uprights and two tubes.:(

I added flat strap in an upside down "T" between the tubes and a flat strap below the bottom tube, then added expanded steel to it. I had it welded, but bent the expanded steel at work on our 6 foot brake.:)

Get the 2nd remote so that you will have the controls for the top and tilt cylinders that you are going to buy with your next purchase. ;)

I own a 3505 bought it used and find this to be a great lil tractor. It came with a 230 FEL and I am getting plenty fo use out of it. I have owned Ford before this and am quite satisfied with tractor... if you are in the market for one compare I do believe you will get more for you money I have thinking of buying a new one myself so I've seen it.

How often do you use the top/tilt? Dare I ask the cost?

I'm ordering the Dino juice for my 50 hour service today....only 44 hours but close enough. Want to get it done while the weather is nice.

I use mine all the time, I am always grading my work in progress. :D Too purchase the top and tilt cylinders with the hose kits, your looking at $510 plus shipping. But then you have the cost of getting the 2 rear remotes and Mahindra only offers one OEM remote, so you would need to go aftermarket of some kind. One of the dealers that I sell to that is in Northern Calif. does the complete setup and gets you 3 remotes for I believe $1600 or so. Once you have top and tilt hydraulics, you will never be without them again. ;) You probably could get a complete setup from him if you needed to. The 3016s are his big seller.
