We had a local snowmobile dealer that was known for excellent service and because of that machines were going out just about as fast as "corporate" would send them. Then corporate wanted him to build huge showroom and bring in a bunch of brand merchandise. Dealer was mom/pop shop and decided he would give up franchise so he could continue providing excellent repair work rather than be a merchandise hawker. Now the nearest dealer for that brand is over sixty miles away and by all accounts struggles to keep head above water. "If it ain't broke down't fix it."What I am saying is that I grew up in an era where the dealer was the most important thing, but am coming to the realization that today is the world of corporate trained mechanics, corporate procedures, corporate financing, corporate warranty, and corporate sales promotions. When I grew up, ALL of these things were handled locally by the dealer with help from the factory and his local bank but all these things were basically the local dealer's decisions to make. He bought his own tractors, floor-planned and sold them, and paid to train his own mechanics...on and on. Now these decisions are more commonly made above his level by the company that manufactures the brand that he sells. rScotty
Holy Crap!!! That's better than a Grand L... Seriously, if that IS a L3800 "normal" valve... there is a bunch of crappy ones out there.
..But my money is on the fact that Grand L valves will still work in our tractors. That is so friggin' smooth I just can't believe it's anything BUT a Grand L...:2cents: YMMV, IMHO HC (repeating the first two words)
Good for you AND your dealer!!! I might be guessing that you are happy with it???
Because it a bunch of work to get to the valve. I assume you have a new gasket just below your seat area. SHOOT if they would just let us know how to Reset the valve and what the specs should be... That would be awesome....he just got the new valve and took it apart and reset the valve to make sure it was with in specs... I wonder why other dealers are not able to fix...
