CO2 for MIG with beer regulator?

If you plan on using the Ironman gas regulator, it will probably have a CGA580 fitting for an argon based gas cylinder. You'll need to adapt it to a CGA320 fitting for CO2. Your welding distributor can fix you up.
That CO2 is pretty cold at high flow rates, so you could freeze up a regulator. If your CO2 regulator was previously used for beverage service, it will be set up for pressure and not flow.

The Argon to CO2 adaptor part number is 806 for Western or Superior. Still difficult to adapt PSI to CFH. Maybe 1 or 2 psi would work. Or get a CFH flow tube to put on the end of your gun to see what your CFH is and adjust to get what you need.

Yomax, my only reason for bringing up the cored wire was because he had access to co2. Wasnt trying to change subject. :D , only tryin to help bud!

Pos. or neg. electrode for CO2 with flux core, or doesn't it matter at that point?

Flux core / Dual shield. If the wire requires gas, Use Elect. +.. No gas Elect. -Good luck.

Ok you guys got me interested in CO2 again...
I have the HF CO2 regulator, bought a year or so back for dirt cheap on a sale with a coupon..
I also have several large CO2 fire extinguishers that were being disposed of I want to try for welding. I already made up the hose and just need to make a stand to hold the extinguishers upside down as their draw tube is at the bottom.
Hobart Handler 210....and thanks Hobart (not) for including a free spool gun in the package after I bought mine.

Comments on my CO2 plan?

It never fails, there is always some jerk, (me) who comes along and throws a wrench into a fairly safe statement.:D;)
Lincoln's NR-5, and 5-A, NR-305, and NS-3M all run on DC(+). Always read the manufacturer's literature!;)

I stand corrected. I should have known on the NS3M. Sold a lot of it back in the day. ( doubt anyone on here will ever use it ) cool stuff.

This little critter tried some welding without reading the safety stuff in the manual. He caught a buzz off the feeder wire under my shop floor. No sissy MIG for him, he liked straight AC.
