I have a TC25S. S/N G029454. Is it an 00 or an 02? I did not buy it new, and I always forget.
Anyway.... I am looking for a service manual, or "workshop manual". I want a New Holland, or a copy, NOT the chiltons version for tractors. I am a pretty sharp mechanic, but that does not mean I have all the answers.

Like, I either need a new clutch, or to adjuts, however I also have an oil leak in the engine rear seal area.. so maybe clutch just slipping due to oil.. so, need to split the tractor? Hence, the manual.

There is a place on line that sells em in PDF form for like 50 bucks. Any experience?
Thanks

Wow, no one knows anything about a service manual? Hmm.

Here's a place you can get your manual for $49.95, but it is for the TC25 gear model and TC25D HST model. I'm guessing that by TC25S, you mean that your tractor is a gear tractor. I have not seen this manual, but I downloaded one from these people for my LB75B New Holland Loader-Backhoe and it is a duplicate of the factory manual. Your manual is 661 pages and 13 sections.

I think the reason you did not get a lot of response is the price you specified and the title of your thread didn't make me think there was anything I could help with, so I didn't even read it until now. If you had mentioned manuals in your title, it would have gotten more specific attention.

You can download the manual directly from New Holland, but it is a bit more than your listed price range. Go to this link and then check the block on the left side of the screen for Find Manuals. Enter your model in the search block and your manual on CD is listed for around $243 and the paper copy a bit higher. These manuals cover lots of models.

Thanks for the response Jinman. The s/n tag says tc25s. I also assumed that meant "standard" as in trans.
I believe that is the company I saw on the web. If its a copy on a cd, or pdf file, I guess thats ok.
I just think 250+ for a manual is high. However, I paid 200 for a manual for my high lift and it was totally worth it. Maybe I should just rethink my budget.
Thanks again.

Oh, so it wasn't some generic manual as you said... like a chiltons in Auto Zone? Those are worthless.

50 for a "duplicate" seems like a deal compared to 200 for a cd (which I can burn anyway)
I wonder how the company does not get sued for copyright or something like that.

Wow, you guys got my interest up so I went looking for a repair manual for my TC26DA. Thankfully, I don't need it right now, but thought it would be a good thing to have on hand. There wasn't anything on that site, so I checked out New Holland.. They sell the repair manual on an ala-carte menu - in pieces!! Now, I don't want to sound like a miserable old fart, but I would be perfectly willing to pay, say, $50 for the manual, but to buy it in chunks at $50 a pop, is pretty insulting to a customer that plopped down a good deal of cash on the purchase of the tractor in the first place.. If I ever go to trade this tractor in and buy a new one, I will keep this idiotic ripoff in mind when I make the decision of NH or some other brand, though it's likely the others are just as bad.. Maybe try to get the dealer on any new tractor to throw a service manual in the deal..

Even the notoriously cash-seeking Kohler has repair manuals available for free download - I got about 300 pages of 'em last week. NH should be ashamed.

Geeze!

Tradebit sells pdf files of individual manuals instead of CD duplicates. I suspect (but don't know) that manufacturers negotiate with them to sell pdf files and they get a per-document download fee from tradebit.com. Tradebit sells music downloads, ebooks, and manuals for all types of vehicles, electronics, and appliances. In the case of New Holland, none of the latest models are there. They have no "DA" models of compacts. Perhaps when the manuals move very slowly on older tractors, NH sells the rights for publication via pdf to tradebit. That would make sense to me if I had a manual and didn't sell but one or two copies per year. I have no reason to believe that tradebit doing anything in violation of copyright. They certainly seem to be operating completely in the open. Who knows where their database is located. It could be in India or even China.:confused3:

Ah, that makes sense. They are ITunes for tractors. LOL

They might even switch to Tradebit when the supply of printed copies runs out. It is a lot cheaper than doing a press run for just a few sales a year, yet still supplies some income and keeps the customers relatively happy.
