The second concept isn't bad...I'm sure it'll be toned down a bit....I thought the first one was an older concept..That's just too over the top.

I have a new bodystyle GM and I like it...Not sure why some here say it's ugly..To each his own, I guess...Personally, I haven't seen a really ugly mass sold truck in a really long time...There were some ugly niche trucks, but that's why they stayed that way.

Government motors has nothing to do with the first concept, that one is pretty old after I thought about it and noticed that some one speculated it was circa 2003...Sounds about right to me...Just an idea, that's all.

I just went to look at the 2013 concept, and if they put that out I would say that G.M. will be looking for another bailout, but the GMC concept would be a BIG HIT, Ford and Dodge won't be wanting to see the GMC on the street. with a new 505 HP power plant they (Ford and dodge) will be looking to catch up.

I agree 100% with this. I'm forced into a GM family as my Mom worked for GM as I was growing up and still does today but I absolutely love the Ford F150 Raptors. They look really good IMO.

I for one actually wish they would build some of these concepts in small numbers. I remember the Tonka Truck Ford Toby Keith drove in his video. I would have been at the dealership the next day if it were available.

It may not be for everyone but the only one who matters is the guy paying the payments. We each have our opinions and we know what that is all about, including mine.

Anyway, it would be nice to see some of these out and about. I did not care so much for the 08 GM trucks on paper compared to my 05 Dmax but once it was out I like it better except for the typical GM square wheel wells. Same with the current F-150. I hated it in 09 when I first saw it and loved the 07 F-150 I had at the time. Now that they are out and my father has one its a great looking truck.

To me the Dodges always led in the looks dept until recently. They really took a step backwards. Right now I personally think the Tundra is a good looking truck.

I'm holding out for it, but not necessarily because I want the 2013, but more because I can't afford a new truck right now. Another year or so to pay on our 2008 Suburban. We love it. Has been absolutely flawless. Hasn't been back to the dealership except when our house took a lightening strike and the surge jump from the garage door down to the 'burb and fried the main computer. I've had 6 GM trucks since 1990 and all have been good trucks. Our current 2 (the 'burb and '99 Silverado) I think have been exceptional.

I need a heavier truck to tow our camper, so that leaves GM, Ford, or Dodge. I like GM, so that is one plus. Dodge are ugly and uncomfortable and don't like Fords. Have had too many issues with Fords. Besides, my wife won't let me buy a Ford.:D After the problems she had with the 2 Fords she had, she would have a fit if I even suggested one.

505 HP, is that all?
Dodge HEMI 6.4l = 525 HP / 510 LB-FT ;-)

I've been a GM guy for a 10 years, and bought a 2007 Avalanche and Tahoe the same week. The Tahoe is still okay, but both vehicles have had the same problems- dashboard cracks, emissions valves going sour, recalls, etc. My avalanche had the warning lights come on for emissions, traction control, and suspension issues within a two week period a month ago. When the bells started going off and I got a "stop engine now" message I did- In front of the Dodge dealer.

I would have still gotten another Avalanche- I really enjoyed driving it, but they are not going to make them after this year, so hopefully my new Dodge Longhorn will not go nose down in the Cheese-dip with only 125K like the Avalanche. I guess time will tell.

Or the Ford Triple 7 (777)

700 HP on pump gas 800 HP on other fuels
7000 RPM
700 FT TQ
7.0L's

Not for me but someone will have fun with these high revving V8's

It's costs a fortune to tool up a concept...Doub't there would be a limited production of anything, from anyone unless the limited production involved a over the top drive train...That is relatively cheap as opposed to bodies and such.
