Thanks to the OP for the heads up!

Found one 72" model at the Denton, Tx. store. They didn't know they had it, told me on the phone that they couldn't find it, so I went down to the store this evening. It was big honkin' yellow thing cable locked to a bunch of smaller yellow things in their attachment row.

I'll be trying it out on a job Friday if the weather clears up. I'll take some before, during and after pics.

Bob77064, Don't forget to lock the handles by pulling them out and pushing them down. It will be locked when the handle is against the strap.

I ended up getting one myself. I will have to modify it to fit my smaller bucket, but that is why I bought the welder years ago. Just waiting for the opportunity to be called up. I was himmming and haawwwing, then just went and got it. One more left in Charlottsville VA.

I can see a ratchet rake tractor party at MossFlower farm to clear slash in the future if they work well on that kind of stuff.

They work real well, I tried mine on different things and I am very pleased with it. It sure is built heavy.

Stan, I can understand cutting the fire breaks. I picked one up today and I am anxious to see how it performs. I have 12 acres of brush that needs to be cleared.

Do post on how yours works out. I may try to offer you some beer and stories to see how yours does on your place. I've got 10 acres in Livingston I would like to try one out on.

BDAVIS you rock sir. You shold get a commission for all the Ratchet rakes you sold with this thread.

I got mine last night at TSC in Culpeper, VA and it was snowing like mad as I was driving there (like somebody did not want me to arrive). I had called 3 times during the day and the drive to make sure it was still there because it was well over an hour away. As soon as I arrived and paid for it the snow stopped.

As I was driving home I got a TXT from LstInThot that he had had one reserved at TSC Culpeper, VA and just as he was leaving to go get it, he called and they had SOLD it! Turns out he was going to go pick one up and offer it to me if I could not get out to go get one, and somehow I had managed to get my name on it AFTER he had his name on it.

All is well that ends well. I think he and I will mod it so it will fit his tractor also and of course he will have free use of it as needed!

Also, Honorable Mention in dispatches for AHNC! The idea of using it for final smoothing and grooming of the gravel driveway is almost all the justification I could EVER need for this purchase! I will be testing that out ASAP also!

Glad to help, I am sure at $199 there can't be much meat on the bone for TSC so don't think the commision check will be coming anytime soon.(Grin)
