Your equipment doesn't have a hitch on the rear? My 790 and my new 3520 both have hitches. I use a large clevis for an anchor point

I've got a draw bar, if that's what you mean. but that being right in the center, I don't think it would be the ideal attachment point. I could be wrong though?

 You have to quantify that statement, can't just come out with that

I'm new to the tractor scene and don't haul it very often... only twice in 4 months. I've got plenty of 10k straps and chains and I will change the way I secure it. Thanks for all the feedback. It's very informative!

Yeah I do believe aslong as you got straps on it,better than no straps even if your not anchored to the lowest part of tractor, come on now, only way I would be worried is if no straps and only parking brake on. Heck I would ride behind you rkeith....

I agree with your good judgement, but then you've got everyone wondering

I use straps for my tractor, and I really like them. I'm not hauling a multi ton machine. I'm hauling a subcompact tractor that is lighter than most compact cars. I figure that if I have 9K rated straps on a 3K tractor I should have plenty of margin to allow for some wear and tear on the straps. I use one strap accross the middle of the tractor and one accross the rear. I try to keep the straps angled at about 45 degrees to the trailer to manage all of the forces. I've never had an issue when I had everything tied down like this.

There are an awful lot of people thinking alike in this thread.

I've enjoyed this thread immensely. It's been fun. I have but one more thing to say to any and all self-appointed "Police" of any stripe:
