Email Subscription

uh oh.. this thread made me think about my inbox.. just checked it this am.. and no messages from tbn

that's not such an easy thing to do! 1, it may be that your email comes as part of your paid internet connection.. and 2, while there are free services out there.. i find those free ones have the most problems with spam!

if you have had yer email for years or decades.. like I have. just running out and changing it at the drop of a hat is not a good idea. 20 ys of contacts to deal with?

I have THREE emails for that reason. I've got one that I've had forever and will have forever that I have for friends, family - people I talk to. Another that I send spam to (IE having to sign up for an account and send all the junk to it) and a third for TBN and websites like it that I care about the emails, but don't want it taking up all my inbox. I hardly ever check the 'spam' email, check the people one all the time and the TBN every once and a while. Makes it nice that I know what I'm getting in each and don't have to search as much as well.

At one time I had a yahoo accout with that thinking.. except I kept running into an issue where some people would not accept the 'free' email service addresses

Well It has been a whole week without E-mail updates, what a pain! The week end looks like rain and more rain so there little chance of any tractor time and do not think that the update issue will get fixed during the week end. I know they are working on it and I appreciate that, but I miss walking by the screen and seeing the updates, making a few quick comments to several threads that I am following. Its like being in a live discussion and I am have to use the U.S. mail service!

You could just click on the My Home button and choose from the list of threads you are subscribed to which have been updated since your last visit...
I do that rather than get email notifications in most cases as I already get enough email that just gets deleted.

I know that the 'MY HOME' trick works that is what I am doing now! I just like walking by and glancing to see if a thread has been updated and then I can join in the conversation in a sort of 'real time' manner. I don't take the time to wipe the dirt off my hands and check by the 'my home' method and by the time I sit down at night it's like reading the old news paper! I am on one of the major internet subscribers and I would think that I'm not the only one having the problem, AGAIN! This is a great sit and the guys that run it do a real good job! It is that they have hit a programming snag that is driving them bonkers and I assume they are still working to resolve it cause they have not posted otherwise and I have not been contacted by PM. I post here for their information or I PM them!

Oh and by the way I did not get any updates this week end or today!

The last change the admins made (that also fixed the long lag after clicking the submit reply button) knocked my notifications out as well, before that, the issue had been resolved. I finally switched the email address I use on TBN and I've been receiving them again. I might suggest switching email addresses if you have another one or opening a free email account that you use for TBN only. Your existing email client can be set up to check the new email address as well so it would be fairly seamless to you.

Some days email subscriptions are working and some days they are not working. Today, it is not working and I have done nothing different.

I Hope they are working on it! Here is as close as I goten to the tractor this week! We went to St Helens and played in the Snow a couple of days!

Well I tried to post a picture of my GK on the tractor but it wont let me I resized it and everthing and No GO! Paw has got to go make breakfast! See you guyes later!

Thanks! She has a 9 mounth sister that is just as cute also! It's been a great week but next monday they all head back to L.A.

I went to the snail mail box today and there was a bill from 'Centry Link' when did ATT become Centry link? I don't know if that helps to solve my notification problem or not. :confused2:

We got Centurytel telephone and internet service in Sept. 2005. They later merged with another company and changed the name to CenturyLink, but I have no idea how much they've spread or what areas they've bought.
