Had a break in the rain for a couple hours today, so i mowed half the lawn.
My impressions, that while improved, there is still a long way to go. If before quality was a 3 than I'd say it is about a 7 now.
I am however giving it the benefit of the doubt as I had the loader on, grass was very wet and the grass was overgrown at about 8". Cut height was 3.5".
When the weather improves I'll try again. The grass will be shorter and hopefully drier.
Again this deck SHOULD mow very well as it is the same as on the some of the ZD commercial zero turns.
I dont know why I cant get it figured. It's improved but still not where I want it to be. I've mowed this exact same grass with my old Deere x540 and had a phenomenal cut. Nice and level. So I know its not my turf.
I'll wait till the weather is nice, but I think I'll need a change of blades. I might even put the original (non-mulch) Kubota blades back on. Ive read where the Kubota mulch blades are better than the factory straight blades, but im starting to wonder. Personally I dont think that either the straight nor the mulch blades generate enough lift. My old Deere would literally suck the dust off the driveway as I mowed the edge of the lawn... The Kubota's dont generate near that level of lift.
