Looks great. I used the ETA 3 point trailer mover today for shifting equipment around today (haywagons, baler, hayrake, etc) and LOVE having the attachment point so far back. I can back a haywagon in as well with the L3830 as I can push it in with the hitch on the front of the RTV.

I did a quick search on it Ken and these guys like the Speeco. Pricing is right. 94Bullitt just said the visibility was better on the JD in the thread. I personally found the visibility OK on the BX.

The visibility thing may sound dumb til you use them both then you can see the difference. Nice job on the trailer mover.

Thanks

So is the Speeco at Princess the EXACT same as the Harbour Freight? Or is the HF a clone of the Speeco?

Im asking because Im curious if 94Bullitt's observations are accurate for the one sold at PA. Looking at HF, they have it for $105 3-Point Quick Hitch for Tractors - 27-1/2" Clearance PA has it for $280! Looks like were getting the shaft here! 3-Point Cat. 1 Quick Hitch | Princess Auto

The Harbor Freight is clone of the Speeco. I bet the PA is the same as the HF. I don't think the Speeco is much better than a HF other it comes equipped with the correct hardware.

Let me ask a question (may seem dumb to some) why the Speeco quick hitch? Reason for question is two fold, first, I don't find it that hard to hook up attachments to the three point. Second, adding the quick hitch moves thins aft increasing the moment arm some and thus increasing the effective weight balance point aft.

That said I really like the tow assembly you made Paul. changing out the pins at the end would it attach directly to the three point? Keep those mods coming they hold my attention.

Thanks farmgirl. The protector was an afterthought during the building process. I was going to add gusset plates to the verticle arm and decided to use the Protector plate and it would add strength , looks (my opinion) and protection all in one.

There's no such thing as a dumb question in my opinion. The quick hitch was the answer for me. Trying to lone up everything to the 3 pt hitch was a royal pain for me. Now I just back into the implement, hit the two leavers and I'm hooked up. Its lightening fast. Yes It will decrease the lifting weight of the machine BUT in my case it didn't matter. I need to lift a ballast box, a chipper/shredder and the tow system and it can do that with ease. I feel if you add a quick hitch and it can't lift one of your implements your asking your tractor to do to much and you need a larger tractor IMHO. Yes I can knock out two split pins and the two pins will hook up directly to the 3 pt hitch assembly. Good questions

Maybe someone else got a difference of opinion and that's great as well.

I believe the speeco is Made in China. That's why I prefer Deere's iMatch or Landpride. I really like my iMatch.

But yeah if speeco is same as hf... Save some money and get HF.

Someone must know if Speeco is the same as HF. That doesn't sound like it would be possible.

They teach the new welders on the harbor freight line. Once they get good they move them over to the Speeco line:laughing:

It depends on on who has been there most recently for a bribe run (I mean a plant inspection). When you schedule a trip to check out the work, they move the better welders to your line.

We dont have HF here. We have its Canadian and considerably more expensive cousin, Princess Auto.

Thats why im trying to confirm if the Speeco is the exact same. The Speeco at PA is 2x the price of the HF (never on sale that I seen); if it is the same then were being royally shafted. If the Speeco it better quality, then maybe there is some value in the higher price.

That said, I wonder how the latch mechanism works? It looks like it would be an easy project to build.
