The local guys I've talked to said they were pleased with the Speeco Quick Hitch. The cost was around $250. Land Pride at the Bota dealer was $495. plus tax. :thumbdown: I only installed it yesterday and it's off again today but I used it a few times and it was easy to install, easy to put the chipper on and locked in well. In the shop tonight doing the 50 hour service on the little guy.

Give an update (or start a separate thread) when youve had a few hours on the Speeco (if you dont mind). Im curious if it is a good value and whether it can take abuse like using a fully loaded box blade.

94Bullitt gives an excellent review of the speeco vs JD, you may want to look it up.

Will do. I have a good local friend that has one on his Kioti and he just bought another one for his BX so that should tell you something. Didn't see any negatives on the net either. I'm just using it for the chipper,trailer tow bar I just built and a ballast box. I put the 50 hours on in two weeks but the next fifty will take a year now that I have phase 1 of my property done.

Probably obvious but I'm stumped, what is the pipe sticking out the rear for above the receiver ? Is it just a handle?

Its the quicker picker upper....handle.LOL One hand to pick up and the other hand to guide and connect.

I did a quick search on it Ken and these guys like the Speeco. Pricing is right. 94Bullitt just said the visibility was better on the JD in the thread. I personally found the visibility OK on the BX.

So is the Speeco at Princess the EXACT same as the Harbour Freight? Or is the HF a clone of the Speeco?
