Thanks for the info on the MX6, whether I buy one now or later all depends on how things go on Friday. If I end up on the edge of my spending limit the brush cutter is going to have to wait.

As a reference I bought a new mx6 a couple months ago for $2750.

I would only add that I wouldn't be too concerned about the difference in size between a 3x20 and 4x20 tractor. Both will fit in some pretty tight spaces, the ehydro makes manuevering easy.

I would go for the most power. Hydrostats like to eat power. But they are very nice to operate.

Agreed, if you want hydro, get more HP

Many people go from a 3x20 to 4x20 but very many go back.

Had the same thing told to me about 2WD vs 4WD with a FEL. Had to add a FEL to my 2WD to learn the lesson the hard way. It would work and was better than not having one at all, but there is no comparison to the 4WD.

There ya go.

It is cheaper to buy once.

The dealer quoted me $2875 for a new MX6, might be able to do a little better though.

Thats for sure. If it wasn't for my wife running it from time to time I would look into the power reverser but I don't need a new tractor going through the garage door in the winter time when I'm not home.

Exactly. That is why I have pretty much eliminated the 3520 out of the equation. I'm still going to give it a look over but I would rather spend a little more money once than spend a lot more money a couple years from now because I'm not happy with the tractor.

I'm heading to the dealer in the morning and will let all of you know how I make out. My buddy has a 400X loader that has been sitting in his heated garage ever since he bought his 4120. The tractor only had 50 or so hours on it when he bought it and hasn't used the loader because he uses his skid steer all the time instead. He told me he would let it go for $3500 just to get it out of his way. The thing looks like it's brand new and is $1500 less than a brand new one. So I'm thinking if I end up with a brand new 4000 series tractor I'm just going to buy the loader off of him to save some money. Like I said I will report back with how things go in the morning. Thanks to all for the useful info about everything.
