Does the 2013 Ford Ranger pickup belong in the US market? - Autoweek
note the size range of diesels in the Ranger equivalent
Good looking truck also, and being based on a Mazda,
might be a bit lighter. A tech comparo between the two would be interesting.
But the prize goes to the bold, and it looks like GM is in the lead here.
Or perhaps more accurately, the least slow to get in the game.
And the fact that the Colorado is built in Missouri, well that does count for something to me.
Just like my Suburban was built in Texas.
The way it used to be...though I do consider Canada part of "us" and I guess at this point, better
consider Mexico too... My two Grand Marquis were nice cars, built in Ontario.
Trucks are traditional money makers for the builders optioned out the way we seem to like them.
So I don't expect this Colorado to be any great bargain. But now that the range for conventional diesel trucks is in the
$50-70K range, perhaps $40K for a diesel Colorado will seem like a real bargain. That's still a lot of money and a lot of profit.
