Will it have a diesel or a computer?

I always wanted a truck with a plain jane diesel. Something that doesn't even require any electrical system if you remember to park on a hill.

I'm a bit soured with my Duramax, and miss my two Dakotas. Heard rumours of a Diesel coming there too. That, I might be interested in, although I'm sure it too would be a Diesel only to the extent that it still uses that kind of fuel.

Would be nice to have some Tier 0, Kubota or Yanmar Diesel in a Dakota.

When you consider the price of Service, malfunctions, that Euria (sp?) fluid and all the complexity, I am amazed that fuel efficiency is even a topic of conversation. Give me something that blackens the sky, uses modest amounts of fuel, but is bulletproof and goes for a million miles, and that's what I want!

With all the Tiers, Bins and Phases emissions regs. You are not going to find a new diesel that will coast start without a battery.
The average consumer doesn't know, doesn't understand and doesn't care what is under the hood. They just want to jump in a drive with lots of power and very little fuel.
The only way you will obtain an efficient and less complex diesel is to import a new one from Haiti etc. then swap VIN tags.
Are you in an E-Test region of Ontario?

2015 GMC Canyon First Look - Motor Trend

nice looking truck. The front of the GMC is a little busy for me, I liked the simple Denali look but I guess they've worn
that out. At least they are offering a manual trans.

Does Ram have a patent on those bed boxes? Am surprised others aren't offering them.

No diesel until 2016.

I like the exterior but is it me or does the dash console seem unsightly, out of proportion? It says manual only available in the 4 banger.

Looks more like a mini van interior than a truck to me.

and it shows that infotainment is much more important than gauges and normal engine info...:confused3:
But hey, at least it has a radio volume knob.
Kinda looks lopsided, used to be more info in front of you, now it's all off to the side.
Like gauges on a Camaro console, where you have to take your eyes off the road to see them. Dumb....
Nice thick steering wheel, that looks comfortable.

the reality is that this interior is light years ahead of the last one.
Well, maybe since the truck has been out there for a while it will at least be reliable.

It's been out there for a while? It's not the same as anything they have been offering like the old Colorado or the current export version, whatever it's called?
