Get the Dynasty 350! Did you see B_C's thread on Welding Web?
No didn't see that thread but I'll go look for it. That being said the Dynasty 350 was on my radar. I can say that the Dynasty 200 DX has been a fantastic trouble free unit and I'll keep it. The problem with it is when you start getting over 1/4 in aluminum it gets maxed out. Lately I'm getting heavier material to weld.

Don't understand Everlast Canada either. They don't list the latest equipment that's on their .com site

B_C is an amazing Tig welder. He had trouble learning how to set the 350 at first, but member shovelon walked him through it.
Have you ever tried using DC, and helium? You can pretty much cut your amps in half when using helium. I played with it some. Now no laughing I'm not a Tig welder!

No haven't tried it. Been a Argon type of guy but cutting the amps appeal to me. Do you use the helium for steel, stainless and aluminum?

No, I just use it for heavy aluminum. B_C uses it all the time, and helium mixes. When you have some time go over to WW, and look up his posts. Even PM him and ask his opinion, very nice guy, I know he'll help you all he can. ;)

Thanks for the info. I'll do that. I used to hang out their a lot one time but with so many sites it's hard to get to them all. I do appreciate your thoughts.
Thanks and Merry Christmas. :cool2:

Could be but with the conversion it's supposed to work out the same distance and time. ;)
If the question gets answered it's going to be really interesting hearing the reason why the warranty period is two years shorter in Canada for the Everlast product than it is in the US.
Just watch, I bet it will be volume or market share or to keep cost down "we had to shorten the warranty period" which we all know is cow dung.
If those excuses are it I will see a new Miller in the near future.
IIRC, the Canadian side of things is a separate and independent company.

You're welcome, and Marry Christmas to you too! But we all know nothing is for free. So for a pay back you can post more pictures of your fantastic fabrication skills!;)

It still don't explain the reason for two years less on the warranty. When these companies start doing things like this they better realize we (Canadians) take notice and they loose business and that business could add up to a lot of money. I've spent a pile of money with Miller and glad that I did. They treat both sides of the border equally and I like that. If Everlast Canada removed two years of warranty on their product it tells me they don't have a lot of confidence in their product once it crosses the border or they don't want to sell welding units here.

It just earks me knowing we aren't getting treated equally in the market place.

Ha. I appreciate that. I'll tell you what. This will be the first place I post the new custom cart that I plan on building for the new unit ;)

Sounds like a plan, I look forward to seeing them!
You should thank your lucky star we live on the opposite sides of North America from each other. If I lived anywhere close to you I'd be waiting for you every morning at your shop door. You would get so tired of seeing me, you'd go to town and get a restraining order to keep me off your property!

If I remember correctly (and I do), Everlast was going to drop their warranty here in the U.S. from five years to three years a while ago.

Quite a few people raised Cain about it, me included, and Everlast dropped the idea. Perhaps Canadians didn't gripe enough.

I suppose you could ask what a warranty extension would cost and then offer the price of the welder minus the warranty extension price. It would come out evenly that way.
