Neighbor lets dogs out to do their business in my yard?

Shooting someones dog without just cause is a felony in some states including my own. Felony cruelty to animals, so you will never own another firearm legally for the rest of your life. In Il we have a Firearm owner card that is required to own firearms, You are also required to sign for your son/daughter under age 21 to get theirs. if you get your FOID suspended or revoked for any reason, they also loose there right to own firearms because you sponsored them.

Had the same problem here. Talked to them twice but nothing changed. Typical cityiots. Started taking a picture each time followed by a call to animal control. We have no leash law but dogs may not roam onto propery where they are not welcome. They paid the $250 fine a couple of times but quickly started leashing the dog after that. Havnt see the dog in months.

Same deal. Only difference was they had a fence, left the dogs out all day and they were away at work (basically ignored them), so they nonstop barked at my mom (retired) and any of the rest of us out in her yard. Mom was too nice to do anything about it, but a backyard neighbor called animal control. The dog owner assumed WE called the animal control on them (who took away the dogs as uncared for) and hollered at us. Then they tried to place false blame - 'you could just give them treats!'.....huh? what?

Big city yuppies working at the University who had no business owning a home or pets - totally irresponsible. They moved out not long after.

Too bad there are these types in the world that add to our stress level.

Get yourself one of these. They keep all kinds of critters out of your yard. People as well.

That wouldn't slow my two dogs down any. they make a point to kill about 6 a year, then I get to smell like skunk for a week. About 4 years ago they killed 2 seven days apart. smelled for a month. They even pulled one out of a old log, and then proceded to sling the spray all over me, since I was standing 3 feet away.

Now THAT was funny!

Gather the poo and load it into a paper shopping bag.

Place the bag just outside their front door, set the bag on fire, ring the door bell and run like h--l!.

They will get the message!

Believe U me, they'll get the message but block your ears and don't let young ones hear the language.

My neighbor and I both have dogs that don't exactly understand where the invisible line is between us, we get along and neither of us really give a crap where the dogs do it.

Feed those dogs, make friends. Lure into garage, call animal control. Animal control sometimes won't act unless they actually see the dogs loose.

My only issue with the neighbors dog started when there old one that was a female died and the replacement one is a male. I didnt really care if there dog crapped in my yard because my 2 also (females) do it and if mine and the neighbors are dog playing in our adjoining backyards poo happens on both sides of the line. But this new male (neutered) hoses down everything in his path including the chrome wheels on my truck and car and the bottom handrail post on my steps. I'm sure my handrail post will be rotted pretty quickly.
