As an aside, kudos to my wife who came out to help me get the front and top panels up yesterday. She also stopped by later to bring me some "shop" beer.

I discovered why it's not advisable to open the cardboard package containing aluminum beer cans with a razor knife.

I tacked together the door for the left side yesterday. I used 14 gauge 3/4" square tube, screen door hinges with removable pins.

I'll add pics tonight.

I've decided to build a door for the right side as well instead of just a window. That way I'll be able to pull the hinge pins and remove both doors in the summer and leave the top on for shade as recommended by mikehaugen.

I made the right door as well but ran out of shielding gas late yesterday afternoon. So tomorrow I'll get the cylinder filled and finish up the last few welds on the door.
I really like my Everlast MIG welder. Today I put 1/8" plexiglass on the left door and installed a storm door latch.

I'm closing in on it.

PS The glass is actually going to be clearer than it looks. There's a lot of dust on it now and that one section still has the protection sheet on it.

What method did you use for cutting the Plexiglass? I've heard of many and want to know what works best before I start my project.

Thicker plexiglass (1/4" or so) cuts well with a circular saw if you need straight cuts.

Yes, circular saw (table) with a good blade lots of teeth is best. Proper speed so you don't burn/melt it is key for a fine edge. Otherwise, sanding, and flaming for a professional finish (built a couple of aquariums).

I used a plex cutting knife to score halfway then snapped at the edge of a workbench. It worked Ok but was a lot if hand work.

Later I used the angle grinder with a metal cutoff blade then sanded the edge.

I got the other door built and hung so the cab is mostly enclosed. I still need to put some gaskets around the doors and other places and lay a rubber sheet down the back and under the seat.

I used it last night to plow and it is noisy with the reverberations from the engine but I wore hearing protection.

Question about heaters. The ones I've looked at have 5/8" hose bibs. Does anyone know what the 2 different size hoses are on the Kubota B2620? Does it matter where in the system you tap in? I see there are Y adapters of various sizes with 5/8" outlets for the larger of the two hoses but I dont know what size mine is. And there is another smaller hose on the tractor but I don't know if it is 5/8 or not. I'm looking at a Maradyne universal heater.

Thanks for any assistance that can be provided for the hose sizes.

Mot sure how similar your tractor is, but mine was easy to plumb into the bypass. There's a short 90* shaped hose that's 5/8" on the end that connects horizontally and a smaller one that points down. It was simple to disconnect the 5/8" end and swing it in the opposite direction and couple onto it. The other heater hose is connected into the spot vacated by the short factory hose.

I installed 3 valves near the heater so it can be shut completely off with 2 of them and the third short-circuits the heater for a bypass.

Thanks Chim. I do have something similar bu th not sure of the hose diameter. If I don't get a definitive answer, I'll take it apart and check the dimensions.

Thanks. I'll try to get better pics soon. I got a little burned out on it but have ordered heater and wipers to put on it.

Oh... but add more LED lighting! :D

Got one in the back too with red clearance lights.

It's actually pretty bright but I agree it would look better with 2 lights each front and back.
