How long did your original battery last??

I had an OPTIMA red top battery that came in my 2009 Kubota RTV900 that I had to replace after only 2 years. I was working fine and then one morning I tried to crank it and it had gone completely dead and wouldn't take a jump or charge. I put in a new NAPA battery since I was at the NAPA /OPTIMA dealer anyway. He didn't even carry any OPTIMA batteries in stock because they were so expensive and according to him, they were no better than his NAPA battery at lasting longer. That has been 3 years and NAPA is still going strong. This is my first NAPA battery so I will see how it goes. My RTV gets shutdown and started a lot of times during the day as most trips are less than 200 yards between stops and it so far has always stayed fully charged.

I replaced the battery in my 2006 DK45 in January...it wouldn't even hold a charge for two days in cold weather anymore.

I am on my 3rd battery on my 2008 ck20hst. However, the two batteries I took out my sons have been using in their Dodge vans no problem.
After three years I change them out and use them elsewhere.

I think mine is original (2006) and certainly not replaced since I bought the tractor in 2009. It's a rectangular sealed lead acid type, probably gell cell. I ran it way down one time but recharged right away. I usually put an external charger on it a couple times a year after long dormant periods. So far so good, knock on wood.

I have a 2009 DKSE 40 HST Battery lasted 4 year so still had a bit of warranty left when I replaced it.

I was visiting my dad yesterday.
I asked him about his tractors battery.
He has a 2000 Kubota L 3000. He bought it new a never changed the battery
14 years old and he is still running the original battery.

I thought I did well at 11 years.

I would have to ask. But anytime I have ever been there I don't recall ever seeing a charger on it.
He uses it very little in the winter.

2005 DK45S original battery replaced after 6 months due to shorted cell(could actually take meter and go from negative post to plastic case and would show 12V), that battery lasted up to may 2010 I think, replace battery again in January of this year due to not holding enough charge for cold weather start.
