Thats the best looking Dodge trucks. Much better than the new ones. Just can't buy into the headlights and grill. Good looking rig! Chris

Personal preferance. Never liked GM trucks due to the square wheel wells and cheap looking front ends. I'm a Ford guy and my favorite is the mid 2000's like my 06 F350 but I know I will need to replace it in the next year. Guess I will have to learn to like some of the new ones.

I actually think the GM's are better looking then they have been in 30 years but that's not saying much. Lol

Actually... Don't tell anyone... I agree, mid 2000's Ford SD's are probably my favorite truck body style.

Just my personal opinion but I like the 2nd Gen. Dodges the best, something like 1993 to 2001 model year. They are starting to look dated now though. I like the new Dodges also and I'm sure they are better in every way than the older ones. I'd love to have a brand new one with a Cummins.

I also like the looks of the late 1990's to mid 2000's Ford F250. I looked at a used one once. It had the 5.4 gas engine. It was a huge disappointment but it was well used. I'm sure I would have liked a diesel better.

Even though it may be termed "2nd generation" and not to be contradicting,
but I think there were several earlier generations of dodge trucks before the '94 to current body styles, The '93 would have fell into the early 80's to '93 style, the only noticeable change I could see was the '93 had an all chrome front grille, Perhaps when Dodge proclaimed the Name ( Ram ) it started the new Generation of trucks all over again.

I had to have the New Dodge Ram back in '94 ( baby Mac ) I really liked that new look, but this year had one recall after another, namely: the ABS breaking system, premature transmission failure, and over a dozen other miscl recalls, I labeled it the worst truck I ever owned,

The Ford f-250 changed body styles in '99 ..... the '98 250 kept the same style as the F-150, which I never cared for the body style, It wasn't until '99 when the f-250 took on an all new look, and is when I bought one,;) best truck I ever owned, ...

I still like the looks of the New Ram body ( '94 to current ) But I also like the older '72-'93 body style as well, The '61-'71 was pure out ugly, even with the step-side bed it had no appeal,

if we were to go back to when it was a level playing field, around 1939, Now I'd take any of the trucks in this year;)
I bet the men of them days had a difficult time trying to figure out which truck to own,:D

being he's a cummins guy i believe he is referring to 2nd gen cummins trucks (it's how i refer to them as well)

i have a hard time calling the 98 light duty 250 a 250. with it's 7 lug wheels and no diesel option, plus it was only made 2 years

I know what you mean about the cheap looking front ends on GM trucks! The previous gen GMC's were better looking then the Chevy. Trust me I looked both the '14 gmc and Chevy over and over and over and they seem to be leaps and bounds ahead in this department. Even the lower valence is attached MUCH better then before. If you rip it off you've really done something whereas before it wasn't anything to rip it off.

Nice dump trailer! I can think of quite a few jobs I'd knock out if I have one of those.
