Your towing rigs and trailers

Thank you!! I have ALOT of time and $$$$ sunk into that truck. It has kinda turned into a little "hobby" modifying it. Everything from the lift, to the on board air system, to the TV monitors mounted in the headrests and DVD player and video game system, plus much more. The problem is that I get bored easily :thumbsup:

You need a cheaper hobby like mine. Airplanes, tractors, and boats. Crap, that ain't cheap. How about women? $%@#$ they ain't cheap either.

I'm screwed.

That is a nice looking F-150... Love the wheels and tires.

Chris
Wow, I'm not surprised this is the ONLY truck where you have not jumped all over the owner for having an air bag system or as you like to call it "a band-aid for having too small of a truck". Your bias is as see-through as glass...

I hear ya. But atleast my hobbys are getting cheaper compared to what they use to be. Now most of my "play" money is spent on things for our daughter, but I am now working on a couple little "toys" for her.:D

In the case of my F150 the airbags are in place because the F150 is lifted and sits totally level when empty. I hated how it looked squatting with even one of my ATVs in the bed, so I added the bags and air system. I loaded the truck down heavy so I could take the pictures for some members of another web forum that were asking about them and what they were capable of.

If I need to tow or haul heavy, that is what the F350 is for.

Yes, I would not own one with bags but he has another truck for the real heavy stuff so he is probably not out overloading this one too bad.

9 times out of 10 when I jump on a guy about air bags he is wanting to tow 1.5 times the limit of his truck and he things bagging it will take care of all the issues.

You have to admit, its a sharp looking truck. I am on record saying your favorite brand, Dodge, is the best looking. Thats where that ends.

Okay Ill figure ill jump in.
My 08 F-250 with a 40ft gooseneck full of hay. I will admit it was a bit much for the truck but I wasn't going far. These pics where I think last years hay hauling or the year before. I am about to haul more in the next few days but I will be using a 32ft gooseneck this time.

You know how to load her down. That poor F-250 is taking a beating with all that pin weight.

Hey, I got the cure for that. I got enough projects to keep several folks from being bored. I got carpentry, cabinet making, welding, and on and on. Some jobs are indoors and some outside. Right now the chill factor is down to at least -10 and maybe going lower so if you are the sensitive sort then the indoor projects are for you. Feeling robust? Then we can hitch up the welding trailer and go work on the corral which is in mid remodel.

Trust me I have plenty of projects around the house to do: right now I am just waiting on the final cabinet plans for our kitchen remodel, then I am going to finish off the bathroom in our basement (the only thing left to do down there since I finished the rest off lest winter), then either this fall or next year I am going to add another 14X36' onto our unattached garage, then hoping to put an addition on the house a 30X40 attached garage also make the master bedroom bigger and add a mud room. All that and then we have a 20 month old daughter that I get to chase around the house, try and go camping every other weekend or so in the summer, and what ever else the wife comes up with, also work 50-60 hours a week.

I just meant that I get bored easily with my vehicles and toys. It seems like I am always doing something to them, upgrading or swapping something out to see if it works better, ect.

As for the weather, heck you -10* wind chill would have been warm. The highest temp that I have seen so far this week has been 4*F, with 10-15 mph winds. I pulled into the job site today the truck display said -15 plus the wind was whipping pretty darn good. We were under a wind chill advisory the last 3 nights from 9pm til noon and we are again tonight for chills of -20 to-35. And we are framing a house right now, no hiding from the cold and wind for me. I can put up with the cold, but it is starting to get real old, real fast.

My 08 Dodge 2500 Quad Cab, 4x4 diesel, usually pick up a couple rolls of hay and use my CK 20 to push them off for my horses. Pulls the trailer and tractor as if it was not there.
