Well, for step one, I'm happy to see that they scraped the topsoil off and stock piled it. Morons neglected that important step on my project.

Oh yes, we've got the topsoil piled separately from the subsoil. We have 6 decent piles of topsoil plus 1 HUGE pile. You get quite a bit cutting in 1/4 mile of road! :)

I love these build projects

I always pick up something from them

Don't know if I would ever tackle a full build but I've been known to expand a little here and there

Thanks and good luck

Yes, I love these threads the most. Please keep us posted. Wow, I wish I had that kind of topsoil.

Well, no update due to the rain and snow (yes, you read that right, snow!) today, but here is a pic from yesterday. We saw this big guy twice...once going across the new road and once coming back. I hate snakes, but I leave black snakes be as they keep down mice and 'bad' snakes.

This will be a interesting thread to follow FordMan! At least the snake was not a rattler.

He wouldn't still be slithering if he was! I don't tolerate poisonous snakes. I'm terrified of snakes, but have learned to leave the 'good' ones alone.

Nice picture. Looks like you were right on top of the snake so, you can't be THAT afraid!

Good luck.
