Results of trying to grease the front axle pivot on my Kioti:

Previously I had replaced the new grease fitting with another new fitting to no avail.

I lifted the front end of the tractor off the ground to no avail.

I then added my new LockNLube coupling onto the Lincoln pistol type grease gun . Using both hands I was able to get 3 full pumps of grease through the fitting- the first time in 83 hours this location has been lubed.

Woo hoo, happy day.

I felt exactly the same way when I finally got grease into the U-Joints on my PTO shaft. I mow a lot (12 month season) and dry bearings there concerned me no end. Happy U-Joints make for a happy tractor driver.

Are you saying the grease gun's end won't attach to the U-joint's zerk, and therefore won't allow grease into the joint? If so here is a possible solution: Amazon.com: Lincoln Lubrication 5883 Slotted Right Angle 90 Degree Coupler: Automotive

If that won't work for your application, post a pic of the zerk in the joint so we can see the problem.
Yup been there done that with the 90 degree side mount type nozzle. I tried changing the nipple
but I think it metric I think as new nipple was different thread (what a PITA) to gust get nipple out. I don't know if the nipples are metric as well, this could be some of the trouble also as cannot make good connection. Will try and get pic. Thanks again.

Only the threaded part of the zerk would be SAE or metric or other, the actual nipple end is standardized, (in theory), but could vary. Still the gun end would be able to clamp around the nipple and keep hold of it with it's jaw pieces.

Okay, everyone raving about how great it is...I got a birthday gift coupon from Amazon and I ordered one (some other stuff too, of course!)...should be here by Friday. I can't wait to see just how smoothly it works. Based upon what all of you have said, I am sure I won't be disappointed. I do have some troublesome zerks, but it's not yet time to grease them again. Will be soon though; then we see. I read, observe, think, listen, and try. Greg

I think I got a bad one. Two were ordered, one from Amazon and one from the actual company. The price was the same for both.

Anyway, one of them works great. The other one slips off of the Zerk almost every time. The locking lever has to be held up (open) to get enough bite to hold the fitting on the Zerk. Even then, the pressure will "blow" it off the Zerk.

I do use air powered Lincoln grease guns but that shouldn't make a difference.

At that price, I'm going to have to do something.

I am not sure if this will work or not, but try this on the bad one.. Pull back all the way on the outer shell, and then grasp the jaws with your fingers and screw it in (clockwise as viewed from the end). See if that helps any.. I am not sure how they are built, but it doesn't cost anything to try.

Well, I finally broke down and ordered one after reading all the glowing reviews from the beginning. I also decided to order a new grease gun to pair it with. I have 2 cheaper pistol grip guns and wanted a good quality 2 handed gun since the Lock n Lube will stay on the zert.

I did the same thing and it does work as well as others say. Also got 2 handed lincoln grease gun. By far worth the expensive price tag. It is a bit longer and hard to get into tight places. I have only used mine a few times but almost sure it will become one of those must have tools.
