Our Ford 3000 fits your criteria for a machine with a smooth ride, which it has. The BX was purchased to do things that the Ford is too big for (the BX also replaced a JD 425 and Cub Lo Boy). I chose the turfs as my research on TBN led me to believe they would have the smoother ride and would be best in snow. The Rim Guard was intended to aid in traction when plowing snow, general stability and additional ballast for the loader. I guess I figured that the liquid in the tires would not hurt the ride. I'm not sure having no liquid at all would improve the ride enough to make it worth not having the extra ballast. Most of your BX's suspension/shock absorption is the air in your tires. Decrease the fluid. For the smoothest ride eliminate the fluid in your tires. A longer wheelbase, wider stance, heavier, tractor with larger tires will certainly ride more comfortably. Why filled Turf Tires on a BX?
