We have a pitless adapter 2 ft below grade at the well casing. Recently we ran the water line from the well to the basement and put the permanent pressure tank in the basement. We now have a frost protected water spigot at the well. That spigot provides water to our camper so we still need the temporary well house to keep the area warm until we can move into the house.
In these pictures, the well house is laid over and is sitting on its back wall with the front (on top in the pictures) facing the sky. The front panel of our well house is removable so that we can get to the inside easily.
Once we move into the house and no longer need water to the camper in the winter, we will remove the well house as it will no longer be needed. We'll probably plant some shrubs to hide the well cap.
