Hay equipment is manufactured by Kverneland, which Kubota acquired in May, 2012.

I'm going hands on in the field tomorrow... checked it all out today.

You are correct Muhammad. All the plows, rakes, tedders, etc. are Kverneland, but the balers are Vicon. As far as I know Kubota purchased them too?

Vicon is one of Kverneland's brands, made by Kverneland.

Yes, the loader will feature mechanical leveling with no upper loader link, lifting height of 167.3" (13.9'), 5,776lb lift capacity. Third function valve standard. Mechanical joystick control on M7-131 standard models and electrical joystick control on M7-151 and M7-171 premium models. Tractor weight is 13,889. Hydraulic flow on M7-131 (128hp) is 21GPM with open center and 29GPM closed center on M7-151 and M7-171 premium.

Somebody asked about tier 4 final and the DPF. The Kubota wording on this is as follows:

Kubota V6108 Engine
The V6108 engine boasts the latest in clean-engine technology. Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) sprays the hot exhaust from the engine with diesel exhaust fluid (DEF), which transforms the exhaust into harmless water vapor and nitrogen. The Common Rail System (CRS) electronically controls the timing and amount of high-pressure injected fuel in stages for optimal combustion, which results in greater efficiency, better fuel econom, and less engine noise. The combination of these two systems with a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) muffler and an Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system ensures that the M7 not only meets the Tier4 Final emissions regulations, but dramatically exceeds them.

OK, thanks for the info Muhammad. I didn't realize Vicon was a Kverneland brand. That explains that. Good to see they went with SCR. That will really increase the reliability of the DPF and reduce or eliminate the amount of parked regens.

Any changes to the small compacts?

Reduce the parked regens? I have had my M135GX 2 seasons and have yet to have a parked regen. What would require a parked regen? My neighbor with a M100GX with a lot more hours but at lighter load also has never had a parked regen.

What does the new M7 use for emissions controls? I read on Kubota's global site they are releasing engines with no DPF mufflers, but not sure if any of them were in this power range?
Hopefully it isn't just egr/dpf without def fluid.

I asked this question. The engine division is building engines using a cataylic converter rather than a DPF. The tractor division does not want to use them because that design requires the engine to run at a much higher temperature and thus will reduce its lifespan. No free lunch. You will see DPF-less tractors, and DPF-less Kubota enignes, but at this point not no DPF-less Kubota tractors.

Not to get off track here but I do not understand any of this. I'm an old-type tractor guy and never planned to own any tire-4 engines only because that's what many people here think. I do not understand DPF--or even what that is-- and the relationship to Kubotas. Can someone take a minute and explain?
