Sorry, paul. I wasn't trying to impede. To be honest I called you one time and tried to buy one, but was told you weren't in production.
I am not trying to make money at all, I don't actually want to make them. I want to share information that is why I am sharing the files. To honor paul, I won't make any.

I wasn't producing them because it was my intent to sell the design and that's just about done so I felt I better caution you. If you proceed it won't be my battle and could cost someone a heck of a lot of money in the process. It happened last year and it was MY battle then which I won. Taking others designs is not only bad taste but very poor judgment financially on anyone's part especially from an educator like yourself. Sharing the files can make you liable for MY design and copyright. You be the judge. Ask yourself, Is it worth it? That's all I have to say on the topic. The next person who you talk to on this copyright topic won't be me and the company involved is watching this very closely.

I hate to be a stickler, but you set a precedence on allowing anyone to copy anything of your's when you replied to deathtoblackberries:
I am so copying you on that
4Shorts:
Go for it my friend. That's why I post this stuff. Sharing ideas

When you go to sell your idea, (which by the way, many people have made quick hitches for backhoes. Yours is just intended for the tractor I have. Technically it is not an invention, but a re-sizing of an idea) make sure you share that you have allowed anyone on this and other forums to copy the idea.

I couldn't find how to quote from another forum so I copied it all.

Very cool work as always.
Thanks Matt. That's the reason I needed a ripper. Glad you like it.

Youre a piece of work Paul... Ive bit my tongue on this for far too long.

Pretty threatening comments, talking lawyers and what not. Really in the spirit of sharing on TBN. Once your pictures are posted in a public forum and youtube its pretty hard to come back and cry copyright after the fact.

Ive posted tons of stuff on here for people to use and adapt to their own. Heck you even copied my basic design for my improved fuel filter on the BX. I never said a word in public and thought it was great.

Your so called quick hitch is really a rip off of a very common design for larger excavators thats been shrunk down. If anything the copyright holders for the excavator quick hitch should be calling and threatening you not the other way around.

How about Honda, Kubota, Coke and Pepsi, did they all give you permission to copy their actual copyrighted designs so your wife could make stickers out of them to plaster everywhere?

I see a Con here and its not the Quick Hitch.

See the resemblance? Shocking.

Wow Paul I believe I just heard several people call you out. How does your wife get away with making all the decals with out permission? LOL So up until now you had never informed the people of this forum of this part being copyrighted. Correct? So that makes things fair game until the statement had been made public? Especially since you offered to share your ideas quoted from 7lakes posting. Im sure you are just trying to warn people of what could happen but do you really have to come off as a bully when you make the point? Even when he has made the statement of not making anymore in your honor. Wow "in your honor" And you still are rude to him. Just like when you bashed WaxMan for his ideas. Shame on you little man.

7lakes, I would like to apologize on behalf of the forum for Paul being rude to you. Most people on thins forum are not that way. Most of us are here to learn and share information. I think you had a great idea when you said your shop class could make the quick coupler. Maybe since you decided to not make it your class could make something else for the BX.

I agree with Jason, I think something like this would be protected by a patent, not a copyright. Here is some info on copyrights.
In the USCopyright in General (FAQ) | U.S. Copyright Office
In Canada-What is copyright? - Canadian Intellectual Property Office

Paul, I am unable to find record of your copyright. Could you show me where it is? Search - Canadian Copyrights Database - Canadian Intellectual Property Office - Intellectual property and copyright - Industry Canada I have seen you copy ideas on here and act like you came up with them. How about all those decals you have all over machines and shop?

Don't feel bad 7lakes all these people with these tire lifts stole his invention 20 +years before he invented it.

He has everyone fooled on his youtube channel. I never saw anyone blow smoke up their own *** before.
His lift is copyrighted as he proclaims in his video he made 3 days ago.
Now go to his site and watch his video, showing his invention that everyone stole his idea.

Copyrights and patents are not worth the paper they are written on!

China has been reverse engineering products for decades without repercussion.

I checked out the video for tire lift thing. He mentioned at the beginning some guy made a bucket dolly like he made and showed pictures of the guys dolly. I guess the dolly does not have a copyright.
