That's good news. Engines that start tend to make life more enjoyable.
We've had a good amount of moisture this winter, but not so much as snow. I'd rather have a foot of snow than this rain on hard frozen ground. Last winter started slow and finished with lots of snow, so maybe you will get your wish yet.
Yea, slow winter so far. Last year we got pounded with snow for sure! I get a ton of drifting at my house. My plow truck died halfway through the winter last year and I had enough and said it's time for a tractor!!!!! My neighbor and his Kubota bailed me out the rest of the winter. Here's what one of my two driveways looked like after pushing it back.
Picked up the blower last fall for $1,200. 2011 Agrimarc 60". Here's the blower earlier in the winter. Chucking rocks since it was the first storm!!!

Did you clean the ground wire at frame? Can cause this. Also, remove the electrical bar that contents all the glow plugs together, mine needed cleaned to get glow plugs working properly. I installed a relay in starting circuit to apply full voltage to starter, instead of going thru complete safety circuit. Clean fuse block, mine was pretty dirty. Check main fuse connection by starter.
All great suggestions! I'm going to go through and clean all the electrical stuff once it warms up.
Update to my ongoing starting issue. I figured out that if I leave the ignition turned on for several minutes so the dash lights are illuminated it'll start. Any ideas what the cause would be? Maybe a relay sticking from the cold??? This has been a frustrating problem for sure!

When it comes to tractor batteries I always figure that the battery with the most CCAs that fit the space is what to purchase.
The price difference is usually minimal but the amps do make a difference in cold weather.
Also there usually ample space available. Fact is often the larger battery is cheaper than the brand specific.
Engineers are known to design to the 'good enough' level and not to the 'worst scenario' such as our cold northern climates.

We engineers usually over design and make some pretty robust plans, that some bean counter then schucks back and peels it like an onion untill it's designed so that 80% of them will last 1 minute past the warranty.

I've just seen too many good designs ruined to save a buck.
I did a job a few years ago that called for concrete drainage pipe under the subgrade of a road. County changed it to Hardie pipe, overruled us. While trying to get density in finish grade, a whole section of pipe collapsed, meaning we had to trench it up, repair, and redo sub and finish grade, and then use hand compactors (jumping jacks) over that entire center section of road down its length. County saved a buck on the pipe, and wasted 50x$ paying us for all that extra work, which then thru the job late, increased payroll, traffic control, etc. Huge waste of taxpayer money. Save 4000$ on pipe, and make the job run 50k$ over.
