Looks like you are missing the bolt that connects the shaft to the hub. Lossened up and came out? That is not a shear bolt. Do you have parts manual? Will be in there. The shear bolt is connecting the two flanges, in your picture at two o-clock. Philip.
That bolt going through the 2 flanges serves no purpose at all, since they are both welded onto the same tube. There is nothing to sheer. Parts manual calls it a sheer bolt....hmmm.
The bolt going through the tubing/shaft, that is missing on mine, apparently is only there for looks. It too serves no purpose as i see it. Everything works/turns without that bolt.

The bolt going thry the two flanges is the shear bolt for the fan. Trust me, I know. Philip.

Just thought I would semi-resurrect this thread,

I have been looking to replace my lawn tractor with a GR series and have scoured the onlines for the last 18 months but stepped up the focus this spring. Due to my own lack of moving quick enough, I lost out on 2 units that had relatively low hours (300's) and was frustrated enough to contact my dealer to quote on a new one. I was looking for a demo or a 2014 or something "not full price". I got a quote on a 2014 with snowblower that was brand new, unassembled.

The price was high enough ($CDN has tanked against the greeenback last 18 months) and there was small discounting, but nothing to put a smile on my face. A few days later, after checking the online's regularly, I jumped at a posting 20 minutes after it went up. YES, I was in first!

Got the 2014 GR2120, with 66 hours for the same price as new, except it included a snowblower, the completed 50 hour service and not tagged with a $1600 tax bill. Major win!. 66 hours on the clock produced savings of $4500 over a truly "new" 2014 unit. Further, the previous owner did a great job (solder, shrink wrap) on an aux light install (which I will probably replace with LED's) and rear tail lights. The whole unit is mint.

Here she is, after a flawless first cut (means so far I am in the 'Yay' camp!

Sounds like a good deal! It's a little beast and dont need much fuel.
I've been looking to trade mine for a F series mower, till i was given a trade in value of 7k for my GR with snow blower that has only 115 hrs on it. Guess i'm keeping my GR. Been perfect till now, except the chain came off the blower once.

I had been looking for a LONG time and read many of your comments during my TBN research.

I paid $9,800 and found the guy on Kijiji. He had several people waiting in 'line' if I didn't take it.

Kubota Canada just raised the 2015 price to $10,650 for a base 2120 and my dealer, who lives on my street, could only offer a 2014 new at $9,800 given the exchange rates are a lot less favourable these days.

If yours is in great shape, it'll fetch 10K with the blower via kijiji....then you could get your F series!

Just ordered a GR2120 today. Have a L4400HST with a Landpride bush hog but it was too big for our huge fenced in garden with fruit trees and Aronia bushes. We're sold on Kubota and our dealer helped us with our choice. We have an RTV900 as well. When we open our garage door there is so much orange it is blinding. Anyway, we are really looking forward to getting it because we had been killing ourselves with a toro walk behind upright mower in our garden. My favorite piece of equipment has to be our L4400. That has saved so many backaches I can't begin to tell you.

Newbie here,

just bought a new GR2120 with a 54" mower deck, paid $8990.00 Canadian plus taxes it came to $10196.00. I thought that was pretty good price, I'm now looking for a snow blower, thought the GR2728 would work, any comments would be appreciated.

Thanks
Jim

Mine has 150 hrs now and is ending third mowing season. No issues at all, I have the 48" deck and no other attachments. I did the 50hr service, not hard but room is small and spillage is almost unavoidable. It's stored inside and I blow it off each time with leaf blower. I does a real nice job on lawns and handles steep grade without issue. HS

I had the GR2728 (manual chute) for the GR2120 i just traded in. It works very well. Only thing about it i didn't really care for is the chain drive (auger) which needs lubricating every 4 hours. Not that it's a big issue, but it's a pain never the less. There is a access hole for a squirt gun/bottle, but it's a hit and miss trying to hit the chain. On the other hand, the cover can be removed (2 bolts) with clear view of the target. Then i had cartboard under it to catch the dripping Bar-oil (chainsaw oil is what it calls for). Had to replace 2 sheerbolts the first winter, so have a few on hand!
