Kubota love bubbles???Surely no one here actually loves their Kubota! Well....OK, maybe we have a song.

Now we're talkin... Throw in a banjo, a bit of fiddle, and we'd have a Blue Grass Kubota tune. I believe I've found my soul mate...

Visted Kioti, Kubota and LS dealer today. Not one single dealer tried to sell me a tractor and even attempted to tell me why I should buy their brand. I guess tractor salesmen are just laid back folks. The Bobcat tractor was used as a rental. Dealer sells and rents. Picture on website showed tractor and loader. Dealer sent me pictures and surprise no loader present. Used Kioti owner motivated to sell, wants to buy smaller tractor with belly finish mower. What would a dealer give him for his DS4510 on trade for a new CS or CK. He also has 6 foot woods bush hog that he bought with tractor so 2-3 years old. He says he paid 2,000 for it. Willing to consider selling that with tractor. Any thought on what that is worth.

It's good you looked at LS ... I was going to post and mention that I'm surprised they haven't been mentioned much in this thead but wanted to point out you are about 161 miles (2.5hrs.) from LS USA Hq. in Battleboro, NC. If you got one and had a problem you can just go show up on their doorstep. At least that was one thought I had when I bought mine.

If you don't have many trees that are 6' apart, I'd be all over that 4510. I'd figure the rotary cutter at 1200-1500 depending on condition. If you can get the tractor, FEL, and rotary cutter for $17,500, I'd sure buy it. It's a Tier3, which is another plus to me. That's just my opinion, but if that deal had come my way last month, I'd have felled a few trees to make room for it. It's quite a bit wider than my 3510, which has proven perfect for my place, but it's more tractor in every way.

There were several guys here who thought I was way off-base on the Bobcat possibly being a rental.....

Nobody said you were way off base and it was all of two people. All I said was that the hours sounded low for a rental...nothing more or less. I actually added "hard to say."

Admittedly, I was incorrect. Still seems low for a rental, but apparently not.

You are absolutely correct, GManBart. It was two guys, and a few posts. It grew in my mind, and I apologize for any perceived slight upon your character.

I agree that it is well below average hours for a rental, but somewhere is one way above average. I just sold a 30 year old tractor with 402 hours on it, so 500 seemed high to me for a casual-use private party. Harleys are the same way - I've put more miles on one in three weeks than some guys do in five years.

It seemed a bit odd to me that someone who put 100 hours a year on a tractor would sell it to a dealer. All kinds of ways to look at it, I just suggested a possibility - and got lucky. I haven't been at this tractor stuff long enough to know what I don't know yet.

Well the deal is done. Thanks everyone for your help and assistance. Brought the used Kioti DS4510 w/FEL and Bush hog home today in time to get a couple hours of bush hogging in. With only 165 hours on the tractor was in showroom condition. Original owner was very meticulous and well organized. Ended up getting the tractor and the 6 foot bush hog all for 16,500. After using the tractor for a couple hours, the manual transmission and shuttle is okay but I can definitely see the advantage of the synchronized transmission with Hydraulic Shuttle. With manual you have to bring the tractor to a complete stop for any change of gear or direction. Not bad for bush hogging but I can see where the HS would be a big time saver for loader work or brush hogging in a situation where you have to go back and forth a lot, ie backing into edge of trees lines etc. The HST would also be nice being able to change speed with just the push of the pedal, again mostly a time saver. I am semi-retired so time saving was not as big of an issue for me. Overall very happy with the Kioti. Next up is a toothbar purchase so I can see how well it will dig and move dirt.
