...Ive had my issues with this tractor but there is not anything that even comes close to its productivity in a 8300lb package for a plumbing contractor. And its a nice tool to have around the farm. If they come out with a factory cab I'll defanantly get a new one, But I am very leery of tractors with DPF's.

I spoke to my dealer the other day, he told me that the M59's are showing up as "discontinued" from what he "sees in the system." Apparently the Tier 4 requirement is taking it's toll on production, as they can't fit the current design into the M59 package, and they are having to redesign an all new engine to fit the frame.
(I didn't get the impression that they "screwed up" the design, but rather comparing it to the L series, apparently all they had to do was add the tier 4 requirements and could use a lot of the same hardware and frame, but for whatever reason they can't do that with the M59)

This is all "assuming" that the dealer is correct by the way.... But it does make you wonder what the other changes and updates could be, good or bad.

When I went to my local Kubota tractor dealer in Franklin, TN he told me the same thing. Friday I was in Paris, TN and the Kubota dealer had one there that looked brand new. I was in a hurry and didn't stop to check it out, but if anyone is looking for one I'd give that dealer a call.

Ahh... emissions = planned obsolescence via ignorant incompetence
It makes me glad I have my 2008 model and probably the last newish tractor I ever buy. Mine is barely broken in at 1045 hrs now.
Some recent work using a freshly downed fir as a mudslide preventative by burying it in the clay.

I priced one on build my Kubota and with the hammer attachment it was north of 80k...

Yes, they are certainly much cheaper if you let someone else knock the new off of them. My nearest dealer quoted me around 62k for a new one with the same specs in 2009 so I picked up mine less than a year old with 68 hrs on it 47k delivered from two states away including additional brand new pallet forks. All of my attachments and fuel so far still have not reached the new price.

Here's an old grapple shot I found, though it is not an action shot, followed by some piles of brush & stumps it put together.

Almost exactly 1 yard of topsoil when the bucket is loaded this way. Some materials can load even more, but this is a typical sized stable heaped bucket.

Sometimes low hanging branches need quick removal to keep from getting whacked in the face by them. The bonus is they stack nicely in the bucket this way, then the branches can be dumped into low spots and buried which is what the next shot 10 feet to the left is showing being wheel rolled for compaction. There are a lot of these brush under clay "land bridges" that had to be installed in ditches to increase motorized access on the place over the years.

The place has 110' elevation change over a little 10 acre parcel, so a road needed to be cut into the steep clay slope to get from bottom to top, all done with just the M59.

Figured out there needed to be a fork.

I love building trails... really opens things up.

Mine are mostly for personal use and often go around large trees to keep them interesting.

Left a message from my "New" local Dealer this morning regarding M59 availability... have not heard back.

Just found out that after years of no Kubota in the county or neighboring counties a branch just opened 4 miles from home...
