? To all if the 26xl is a detuned 28 can it be retuned?

It really isn't detuned, just tested for EPA reasons at a lower RPM. This same engine has been used in the following models: 2415, 2516, 2615, 2816, Max24, Max25, Max26, Max28 and 3016. Generally rated from 24-28 HP, and we have always seen that they test the same at the same RPM. This is a mechanically governed engine, so no "chip" or "retune" like on a modern pickup diesel.

The Max26 does not lack HP, it's a strong tractor.

Unlikely they would make it simple to do. if it were simple to do, I'd get a 1538 and retune it to 50HP like the 3550 that uses the same engine.

Correction, you would buy the 1533 and turn it up to 50 HP.

The 1533/38 has gobs or torque. Such a big engine running easily.

Maybe it's a supply and demand thing or maybe he's just out to get what he can. He'll get it sooner or later.

I paid $24k for mine with hst and BH last summer.

There's a couple of dealers in NY. Did you try them?

Old Pilgrim, $24K for a 3016H TLB was a thin deal for the dealer. You did very well.

Reeltime, the $27,950 price, was that 0% for 84 months? 0% for 84 months costs the dealer a ton, so it is added onto the price. (No free lunch....) Some dealers price at 0%, then give discounts if you pay cash or take a less expensive finance option.

Oldpilgrim they are a couple problems I was honest and told him they are hard to find ,he also knew I was coming from a ways away.So kinda knew I really wanted one so yes DEMAND huge factor.
